I just cant seem to access m.getjar.com on my mobile.
It says access denied.

king, 06 Jul 2009no u can't install softwares n games unless u upgrade the f... moreking, i did nt upgrade firmware,but i hav install many softwares like dictionary,operamini,ucweb,mobile number locator,music player,mig,nimbuzz,pleex etc etc

This is a nice phone...looks gud....battery is nice..but takes lot of time to charge..music is gud...clarity is nice...plays movies in mp4 format with 30fps with gr8 clarity...its really bright ..today i was wall-e and that was too nice...but some movies stuck in between saying unsupported format or incorrect bitrate...
apart from that features are nice..touch screen is gud..nowhere in front of i fone..which i lost few days back,but still its nice in this price band...
I suggest you people not to experiment with the phone too much...use its already provided features...its cool....
I am very gr8 full the party people out here for all their support..this si a nice place to know more abt any fon....

Andyr, 06 Jul 2009right, first of all you have to have a S5233 model I think ... morehi andyr, i also have the s5233 model, but call recording facility is not available on my fone. i searched a lot but there are no such options. :-( :-(

aszah, 06 Jul 2009just want to ask, do i need to charge the phone for so m... morebattery is superb right from the first day of use. i charge it every 4 days (even though some amount of charge is still left). and i talk for almost 2 hours continuously, apart from other calls, and about 80 sms per day.

just one las... morego for the star...
its durable, considering the number of times i had accidentally dropped it from my hand, and the number of times i use it with water on my fingers etc etc.
cam, call quality, video... go for star without second thoughts. n music will satisfy u in every aspect, all though its not mind-blowing like the expressmusic series.
go for star.

I advice u guys dnt mess with the firmware by upgrading it with new games usng FTP Lite...Bcos i did so, but was lucky dat i gt my cel replaced with the new one.

I have owned a LG viewty KU990 and I have this Samsung S5230.I have found no difference between the touchscreen on both. To me they both 'lag' and I dont find one more responsive to the touch than the other one. I have yet to try out touch screen on i-phone which I am told is excellanbt and more responsive technology. Andy.

sam, 06 Jul 2009first of all thanks to king n andyr for replying to my quer... moreright, first of all you have to have a S5233 model I think it is. Then when on call you have to press the 'more' on bottom right of screen and the I think it says record call or record conversation or something like that.

just want to ask,
do i need to charge the phone for so many hours if its new? 'cause someone said that i have to charge the phone overnight or so after the initial charge of the battery is drained since the time it was first used. will it improve the battery performance if i charge it overnight or so after it drains out?

just one last thing.. which is a better phone for me? 5130 or the star? i am ok with the no software thing as of now..no probs..
my requirememnts are
good music and video playback
good camera
good call quality..
wt do u say man???
m more inclined towards the star but just a lil concerned about the durability since it is a touch..
do opine soon...
