now for ur probz... yes i really miss themes like my old nokias. no u can't install themes in this fone.
but u can saparately change the get-up of the phone as a whole. like wallpapers for the 3 separate desktops, background image for main menu etc. but u can't change the background image for the subscreens.
also no gr8 animations. i really miss themes...
no again u can't install any softwares other than the ones that are provided in it.
people have tried installing softwares by upgrading firmware and flashing the ROM but i have not taken this risk as it voids ur warranty...

You seem like an expert on the star's perfomance and software.will u please tell me how to install themes and other stuff on my phone cos i was accustomed to doin all that in my n73. whenever i try installin something it says "unsupported file format" . Please help.and mine is the star s5233 if that is of any aid.

my screen cover came of duo u knw any store where i can get another the store i bought the phone does not hav 1 with this large a size,,,,,
like need to cover the whole screen & the upper part also,,,,,,

how to watch movies on this fone? i hav tried many converters to convert videos frm .mod or .avi formats to mp4 or .wmv formats...which d phone accepts...bt still it says unsupported file or overrated bitrate...wa do i do?
P.S. i tried converting the videos frm d video converter given in samsung pc suit too...bt it says unsupported file format... :(

Hi anyone let me know..about battery. Usually, samsung batteries wont have charge for long time...Everyday we need to put charge. IS this phone have battery life, whatever mentioned in this list

been using these phone for 5 days, at first i hate it(im a sony ericson and nokia user) but since yesterday im starting to like the phone, especialy the camera i like it, same with sony ericson camera phones, i like it to. to complaints bout the star. its perfect.
have used lots of phones, and this is by far the 2nd best phone in my list, first is the iphone.

Or for more simple question,can diz phone play the facebook appz like bejeweled blitz or mafia wars which needed flash appz installed on the phone?

rr, 01 Jul 2009i watch the samsung star 5230 in box video in youtube.the e... moreearpiece is of the standard size. its not big. but the quality of the earpiece is crap (if u really have an ear for music, bass effects etc). however u can opt for 3rd party headsets if u like using a 3.5mm adapter. im using it too...

jeet, 01 Jul 2009I want to by this phone I am using sony now...I have some q... more1.yes this fone supports multi-tasking.
2.battery is superb... lasts 4 days with max use, talktime is 13 hours. there's no second fone in the market with such performance features.
3.camera quality is great. better than all other company's 3.2 mega pixel cams. its got no flash but night mode is excellent. no grains in pics.
the smile detection feature is not so efficient so i wud'nt talk about it, nor do i need it.
4.no u can't uploaad 3rd party softwares directly. many users have succeeded in doing so by installing new firmware or flashing the ROM but nor did i take that risk neither do i recommend it, as it voids ur warranty...

i watch the samsung star 5230 in box video in youtube.the ear piece of the handfree is too big.it not comfartble for ear.anybody tell ma how is the handfree.actually me ear hole is so small .
