i have one prblm, whnever i listen to radio or mp3 on my star phone, i am not able to change the songs or radio station from the headset. Just wanted to ask is there any prblm with my phone or it company built

sunil, 21 Jun 2009i am a star user i just bought my phone a day ago, as i am ... morewell i have said before in this forum that the samsung pc suite is the worst pc suite that i've ever used, the best being of course nokia's pc suite. i had also given u the solution.
well once again i present you friends a much more user-friendly way of handling ur phone data and transferring them from and to your pc...
here's the trick:
1.forget samsung pc studio. uninstall it from the pc.
2.go to settings in main menu of phone. then goto "phone settings". then "pc connections".
3.choose "mass storage".
4.now just connect ur phone to the pc and the phone behaves like a pen-drive. walla!!
it just behaves like a pen drive and the user interface is just like nokia pc studio. so much user friendly!! and no more irritating messages displayed.
u can now transfer any n everything to ur memory card or phone memory even if it is not supported by the phone.
remember... its a pen-drive now. NJOY!!

Some of the phone's internal memory is used... moreno the s5230 has 50mb internal memory.
but most of the users have got the s5233A model like myself, n it has got 100mb internal memory. and no, OS has its separate memory, it does not occupy this 100mb.

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970i don't know where u can a 3.5 mm adapter in hyderabad. it costs rs.300 in india. by the way even the fake ones work fantastically. u can go for it...
in case u still do not get it, u can go to any samsung store and ask for a "GOOD EXTERNAL SAMSUNG HEADPHONE". they will give u a sound-cancellation headphone (it has an in-built 3.5mm converter) and costs rs.500. the quality of the headphone is superb. and it is available at all mobile accessories stores.

1. go to "SETTINGS", then "PHONE PROFILES".
2.click on the ">>" beside ur selected profile. on top right corner click on the place where "INCOMING..." is written.
3.a drop down box appears. click on "NEW MESSAGES". Here u'll find the general message settings.

Some of the phone's internal memory is used for its operating system, so 13mb might be reserved for its OS.
(hey but this phone only has 50mb right???)
and about ur errors, contact ur dealer, or ask for samsung help.

Hi,can anyone pls tell me how to change the message tone in general. i know the procedure to change it for particular contacts but want to figure out how to change it completely whenever a message comes irrespective of the sender.

I am from mumbai and i am using star for 3 weeks... morei am a star user i just bought my phone a day ago, as i am not having a memory card i tried to store videos and wallpapers in the phone's internal memory which was 100 mb but after installing pc suite when i converted files and transfered to phone it when half of transfering done a message comes in pc suite i.e CME error 261 and after that when i check the phone the memory was occupied but no file is showing in the my files folder few times i restarted the phone, clear the phone memory and after clearing the phone memory i got 87 mb i don't know where 13 mb sinks?
when i tried to google what the error was all about it shows cme error 261 is SS not executed. i don't know what it is, please help me
any expert please help.

I am from mumbai and i am using star for 3 weeks. Regarding 1st question it comes with a stylus but no slot/compartment is there. But believe me you would not even need that. I have tried stylus but only for a few hours becoz operating this phone with fingers is like walk on cake. Using stylus i got a small scratch on scratch guard so now using fingers only to operate. I really love this phone. Quality of pictures taken is amazing. last week watched "300" movie on this while traveling in train. Let me know if you have any queries

Hey! I have this phone and as much as i can tell that i dont have any problem with it, well ok, i have one. It says that it can save up to 500 text messages on the phone but when it comes to 200 or something it gives me a warning that i should delete some messages? Anyone can help?
