update: normally the gprs icon is blue, but when i for instance add the accuweather widget it turns red..does that mean it's on/connected to the internet when it's red?

I got the phone today and it's awesome, great value.. only my entire manual is in french and i don't speak it that wel..
This might be a stupid question but next to the network signal my home screen displays a G for GPRS all the time, is that supposed to be there (necessary?)..or does that mean that i'm constantly connected to the internet or somethin..if so, how can i turn it off so i don't waste buckets of money?
Also, is there a way to check the battery status appart from the little battery in the corner.. something in % perhaps? I'd look at the manual but i can't understand it :(

R, 04 Jun 2009hey Devinder thanks u for the advice... tell me one more th... morefirst of all i want to tell you that there is no comparison between cookie and star, star is far better than cookie, i don't know why people do ? you dont have to use stylus at all because this is not a phone that needs stylus to operate, although company have provided it in the box. believe me the stylus is so beautiful and nicely built.. it can be hanged with your phone

Just got my samsung star 5233A from ebay. The phone looks great and responding to touch well but not at par with iphone. Its bit jerky. One negative point is that there is no place to keep stylus..one more observation is that the stylus in the bundle is different from the one shown in photographs..Otherwise a gr8 phone at gr8 price. I got it for 8150/- after discount using ebay coupan

i have bougt a new one and dont know about the touch settings so..tell me what setting we need to do

1) i am not able to drag widgets from my main screen .. from where can i set this setting to enable this dragging thing??

what is DNSE? is it really present in this phone because i cannot find on my phone? from what i have read, it makes music better but cant find any setting on my phone about this...HELP PLS...TNX!!

Samsung star has 1000mah battery whereas cookie has 900mah battery. so technically the cookie has less battery life than cookie. also i am using Samsung star and earlier i have also used cookie but samsung star is is very impressive overall. Must Buy

A) Hey!I am confused b/w LG cookies and Samsung star and the confusion aggravated after reading review done by www.phonearena.com on battery life. Battery has been rated at 2 out of 10 (it seemed like samsung is boasting about the battery life 1.e 10 hrs talk time). Most features are more or less the same (apparently). So the basic confusion hinges on battery life.
B) Also there are free-bees available with LG cookies. Does it make LG cookies a good buy?
Plzzzz respond asap.... as i m planning to buy either one by this sunday...
