Samsung star is a budget phone, hence for people who want all the fun of touchscreen and great features such as social networking but don't want to pay so much for it. It's actually a very popular phone compared to budget Nokia phones.

alb, 27 Jan 2010This phone is great and affordable - except for the java ap... moreHi I got in touch with Samsung to check on this one as I to have a lot of java games that I wanted to put on my phone. They told me. And I quote from their Email:-
"It is not possible to install java programs as the section of the handset that supports this file type has been locked. The only way to install a java application or game onto the handset is via a wap connection. This is a security feature of the handset to prevent the pre-installed content from being removed and copied from the handset illegally".
I ask who would want to remove the rubbish game demo's they Pre-install.

They also have a big range of paid for games and softwear. Check it out.

how can i export messages back to my phone from my pc?
there is an option to export but i have to locate the .nef file..but i cant find where it is saved..
does somebody where it is kept?thanks!

Samsung star is becoming popular as the samsung e250 in South Africa samsung got 2 cheap touch screen avaible the samsung star & samsung corby nokia 5230 not avaible only the nokia 5530 xm that has been avaible recently so am tired of waiting 4 the nokia 5230 & going buy me a samsung star 4 R1899-00 on Monday,

hi...
i have a problem when i record a video , the audio does not get recorded , when i upload a video using samsung pc studio , the video is seen but no sound is heard.plz help me , i tried the settings in the camera but the audio still does not get recorded. plz help!!!

Again another crap version of the F480. Why buy a phone around the same price thats Features are less. Samsung wake up! Your letting Nokia steal the market that you won from them back!
