Hi,i just bought samsung star
i have a problem when i record a video , the audio does not get recorded , when i upload a video using samsung pc studio , the video is seen but no sound is heard.plz help me , i tried the settings in the camera but the audio still does not get recorded. plz help!!!

arun, 27 Jan 2010most useless phone ever seen. reqired 3 services in 1 month... moremine works quality you've just had bad luck fella ;)

i had this fone for 2 months n it works wonders the camera n sound are good far better from wot nokia offer good allround performer only niggle is the apps are bit slow but hey no fone is perfect .. well done samsung the fone rocks

Suresh, 27 Jan 20106 Months completed using this tuch beauty... am very much h... moreo you cannot update firmware to include Wi Fi because its not built into the phone

6 Months completed using this tuch beauty... am very much happy with its performance...
But two questions,
1. Is there any way to add COPY/PASTE functionality (at least, in text editor) to the phone? (By updating the s/w, etc...)
2. Is it possible to update s5233w (to include wi fi feature) in my mobile (my current s/w is s5233s) ?
desperately looking for answers... anyone tried, pls. pls. pls reply....

most useless phone ever seen. reqired 3 services in 1 month. and problms are still increasing. having problm in bluetooth, network, battery, frequent sim refreshing.

alb, 27 Jan 2010This phone is great and affordable - except for the java ap... morethere are 2 ways of doing this. One install lite ftp over gprs and use it to transfer files on the hidden folders on the "C" drive of the phone.
Or modify ur firmware( i have done it on my phone) to XEII4 version,where it is just copy paste and install.
Choice is urs..if u dont want to void ur warranty..i wud suggest the first option of using ftp lite. Just search "Install apps on Samsung star" and the first few pages will give u the info u need..i did learn that way only. Good luck.

Nokia 5230 has far s... moreeven i was thinking of buying Nokia, checked the phone and tried hands on in the nokia centre..was not impressed with the double clicks and the fact that the qwerty on the phone on display is not as easy to use as in samsung. Well nokia def has apps..gps on board they say..but has limited service or need to download maps..something the technician told me..was not convinced..so sticking to Samsung star for now. And yeah the touch wiz n widgets are any day better than the standard Symbian OS home screen.
The nail on the coffin for Nokia was the poor speakers..i cus hardly hear the demo song..when played on loud speakers..Samsung speakers are pretty loud i felt. So depending on the choice..users can go for the make. I am sticking to my lovely star.

This phone is great and affordable - except for the java apps part - it's ridiculous! How do I install and access my java apps? I have the .jar and .jad files, and I used the PC studio app to transfer these files to my phone (other files folder), but it keeps popping up with "unsupported file type"!! so, plz, someone tell me what is the best and sure way to transfer, install and run my java apps. Thanx in advance!

Hy...i just bought a samsung S5230 and the instalation devide is not working...it-s says that some codecs are missing...maiby u knou some site whre i could download for free the softwhere to upload melody on my cell . 10x :P

Hi ppl,
I Own STAR for last 7 months, recently i tried Nokia 5230 in a Nokia Gallery. Nokia has copied samsung star's model name (5230) to encash STAR's succeess, but after all a copy is a copy and this 1 is really BAD!!
* Touch responce is not as good as STAR
* Screen looks soooo dull
* Interchangable colourful back-cover (Copied frm Corby) look really HORRIBLE with a dusty plastic feel
* No widgets/ only 1 homescreen/ no photo contact browser / no tilt-to-slide gallery
* despite having a better ram and cpu, Nokia 5230 is a dull and slow thing in ur hands.
Ppl, think atleast 10 times before even thinking for Nokia 5230

A great touchscreen phone in a affordable price. I have been using it for the past 6 months..really a fantastic phone in call quality,touch interface,music....and battery life too!!!
