Hi there. today i went to the nokia store and tried on the new nokia 5230/5233. i had actually planned to buy the phone as it has already been 9 months since i've been using samsung star and wanted a change.
well i was soooo disappointed after trying out nokia 5230. i always loved nokia as much as i've loved samsung. the touchscreen is so hard n dull and so unresponsive and for every option u have to click twice which is such pain. and the interface is sooo dull.
and placing samsung's screen beside nokia's, samsung's 256k color screen is like crystal next to nokia's 16m colour screen. looks so dull.
so 4 all those guys who r planning to change their samsung phones for nokia 5230/ 5800 plz think thrice.
yes u get a lot of applications for symbian phones but what use is a 3rd party application when the basic software is sooo slow despite having a ram and cpu.
long live samsung star !!! n i'm not selling it for anything ever again.

this is a great phone, just go and buy it, the touch is excellent, the sound is very nice. go samsung!

Kate, 25 Jan 2010Hi guys, just wondering... when saving text messages, what ... morehi, the maximum capacity for sms in inbox is 200 and 00 for outbox and 100 for others..dont recollect now..i have mentioned in my previous posts.
U can manually move the messages to the folder but there is no way to change to memory card directly..i have not been sucessful yet..maybe some one if done can comment on it.

can i increase my volume if i make it 32 or... morehi neha, i have tried it but have not experienced any significant improvements though.
checked the other options as well and the max was set to 31, i raised it to 40 but still not effect. so i feel 31 is good enough as it is pretty loud.

I cant mxit with it....its to small the place at the bottom were you need to type!!!!!!!! that sux!!!!!

Hi guys, just wondering... when saving text messages, what is the approx capacity? e.g. 200 or 400 texts etc.
Does it also depend on the memory card? if so, how do you save the texts so that they go to the memory card and not the sim card?

It is realy very good phone while video sound quality is poor.
