HI anyone know how to accept the buisness card in star because while receiving the buisness card it was showing empty message as Vcard...Any suggestion would be helpful!!!

hi there...will be getting this phone this week (s5233); one question: is is easy to transfer java apps to this phone? I have the .jar and .jad file - so I just have to copy and paste to my mem card, right? or is there another way? thanks!

i just bought samsung star
i have a problem when i record a video , the audio does not get recorded , when i upload a vid using samsung pc studio , the video is seen but no sound is heard.plz help me , i tried the settings in the camera but the audio still does not get recorded. plzzz help!!!

I really really love this mobile phone!
I got mine in white... :)
I'm just having some troubles when ending calls.
Sometimes, it doesn't want to end a call even if I press the end call button many times.
Any solution for this?

Hi :) I am thinking of getting this phone but my only concern is typing sms etc..is it easy to type fast (as i type fast on normal keypads) on touchscreen?? and how clear are videos on the screen? do they take up the whole screen and does the video play horizontally if the phone is positioned on the side? please help me out :) I have to choose between the Samsung B3310 and the star :)

bought this phone last weekend, i have the silver one. and i really like it. the price is really nice as well, i got it for only 8700.00 with free 2 gig memory..
battery is good, speaker when playing sounds is good, not that sensitive type like iphone.
even it doesn't have a flash it's okay because camera is clear.
i could say it is really a perfect and good phone for those who wants a touchscreen phone.
i suggest instead of buying leather case for this phone just use the one in package because when i supposed to buy a leather case, when i fit it, it leaves a scratch in the side of the phone, thank god because that part of my phone still has a plastic.

as per the display u get on screen..it says press and hold to unlcok and thats the rite way it is designed .
For me i wanted it to be held, cos when i slide my phone it used to get unlcoked at the slightest touch of the unlock button even by mistake.
So i think it is designed in that way and the previous versions had some flaw which resulted in one click unlock.

Hi. Can someone tell me how do you change the phone lock/unlock setting. First when i use to press the lateral lock/unlock button it would unlock immediately but after I had a software update last week, it now requires that I keep the lateral key pressed for a few seconds before it unlocks. Can someone help me restore it back to just one click.

Anonymous, 17 Jan 2010Do these settings apply to other Samsung touch screen phone... morenot sure on the other samsung phones..if u are able to get into internals and debug settings with the codes..then u can give it a shot..but i am not sure about it though. There are several variations on the touch wiz platform on qualcomm based samsung devices..so search appropriately with the device name..chances are u will get the codes and settings on the web.

according to gsm arena star doesnt have gallery.what does it mean?does it means that we cant watch photos in thumbnail way such as other phones?Do we have to watch photos one by one?

this phone is nice. first i was gonna get a vertu but when i found out that it was priced at $15000.00 so i had no chioce so i got thiss. i have noticedd that this phone has more features thena iphone and any regular computer. u can download movies, games, songs, etc..... so basically this is the phone a man needs to get a girl. ^.^

kevin`, 17 Jan 2010to rahul; hey dude... i tried it,,,came close to it...b... morehi for this, u have to click 0 in he onboard screen and then it will enter into write mode from read mode ( u can see the screen refresh) and after that click on the blank area where u can enter text. Then it will take u to the touch screen with total keyboard there enter 31. on the onbaord screen on the debug screen only one character will be accepted in the write mode, so enter 31 by the way i have mentioned

some things i dont like about this phone:
- it can only play a 320x240 video.
- the message memory. it can only store upto 500 messages
