Danish, 06 Jan 2010Can anyoen tell how to use Wi-Fi in a simple way.i have my ... morehere's my input about the wifi prob:
first off: open the wifi, do a search. once you've found your connection, just click on either "add" or "connect".
secondly: if there's a password on the connection, just type it in on the "network key/code"(sorry i forgot), after doing so then..; if there's none, just click on save then press the "back button". having done so, the phone will connect to the wifi connection...
it's either you get a prompt that you're already connected to the wifi or disconnected or the other prompts(such as "no response from AP", or "DNS failed");
third: if you get the prompt for disconnected, all you have to do is restart your unit, and just reconnect to the connection. you should then get a response that your unit is already connected;
finally: go to menu, browser, then browser-settings, then choose the connection you are connected with and then you're done! surf all you can!!
this is a bit tricky but if you follow this simple steps, you'll get along well! so far, after knowing these steps, i never had any problems with the wifi connections anymore!

try dragging the blue line while playing a movie...that's how you toggle fast forward or rewind

better get the Samsung Jet, better in specs. Samsung star wifi as you can see only has 3MP camera with no flash & auto focus and no OS, Jet has 5MP with auto focus and flash, has OS and so many others compared to the Star Wifi.

can anybody tell me which among these 2 phones is much better?? (talking about samsung jet and samsung star wifi).. coz im planning to buy new one but i cant decide which phone to buy.. its not about the price but its the quality (easy use of specs or apps and lifespan of the battery).. need ur opinion asap.. thank u very much..

i've got this piece on jan 1st 2009.... and as fr my first priority... even after constant messaging... battery lasted for 4 days.... using wifi will surely drain ur battery drastically .... to around 1.5 day... overall this piece is marvellous in terms of looks and operation... and music and most importantly battery.. better than a nokia which i had before nokia 3600s.. which i used to charge almost everyday at constant use and 1.5 days if i keep it idle.. of course the con being the application... the games put me down... there r no games worth playing... but ofcourse u can play with screen... its fun for sure... overall i'd give 8.5/10... and ya i got it fr 8200 from mumbai.. gud luck fellas...

Lee, 02 Jan 2010Is the wifi on this cell is stable?yes, it's pretty stable. most problems i've encountered had something to do with the connection settings, not the phone itself.

is there an available downloadable movie player for samsung star that has a rewind and fast forward function? the built in player is so simple that it has a play ang pause/stop buttons.TIA

justine, 05 Jan 2010the phone supports 2g net, but is it really slow if i'll be... moreit's really slow..1st hand experience, yes! it's really darn slow for that option...but not unless you're on a really clear spot where the 2g signal is not interrupted, then and only then will the 2g connection at least you would consider "OK!"
you can't play/browse youtube unless of course you're connected on wifi..

kay b, 05 Jan 2010and where do i get this section...nd what bout d username??when you open your wifi, you'll have to choose the connection that you like. Then after clicking on that connection, you'll be prompted of the settings for that connection, browse down further until you get to (i think) "Network Key" or "Network code" (i actually forgot)...that's where you'll have to provide the password. the username will just automatically fill. after pressing back, the phone will attempt to connect!! that's it!

well as of now,it's fine, it's just difficult to connect to other wifi connections other than your own..

thanks if any1 can... moremusic is nice on headset..it has music options like rock/jazz dance etc..on speaker is high and good also..bought it last dec 27 and pleased with the UI.and touch wiz interface
