Hi, could anyone who has bought the phone comment on the battery life? is it really short? this is because as compared to the Star S5230/33, the battery life of this one seems really short

For me its a good phone! and Vamsi, Asif said it views PDF files so i correct myself it has a document viewer, sorry...

Hi, i m planning to buy the star 3G, but i see that the battery talktime life is just 3 hrs, compared to the Star which is 10 hrs. Is the battery life actually low?? If anyone is using the handset pls do reply to my query....

Tried it out in Telenor (Sweden) - It's a capacitive screen so no stylus will work - but you really don't need one :) Looks and feels nice - solid feel to it, VERY responsive (thanks to the capacitive touchscreen - same tech Apple's iPhone uses) - nice menu and fast - quite cheap too - so if you just want a fun little touchphone this is a very good option :)

Yes, it is called Preston but not in India. It's called Preston globally and "Star 3G" in India.
The featres that differs in S5233 and S5600 are :
1. S5600 has 3G, GPS, Camera with flash and 16M colour screen. S5233 has all the features besides 3G, GPS, got camera but without LED flash and got only 256K colour screen.

people please. this phone is called a preston. do not confuse it with star.

Let me post you a good news. I myself didn't realize this but Samsung S5600 "DOES" have a GPS. Yes, you read it right, it "DOES" have a GPS. It's widgets have a option of Google map which are simply awesome. It gives you all what you need so YES it does has GPS too.
Clearing the doubts of other people who says the model number is different and actual S5600 is yet to be released then let me tell you that the model number you're viewing while switching on the cellphone is the code for samsung, this phone model is globally called as S5600 only and it will stay the same, so no more futher variants are going to be released and yes if you're buying this phone, it's going to be S5600 ONLY with all the features mentioned in its specification.
And another query of document viewer which someone asked, for that i would say..YES it atleast reads PDF files so i guess it can read other files too.
This phone is worth it's cost and i would say this is my second samsung phone and i'm really happy with the experience.
