just bought the phone a week ago ...
awesome phone with a great sound especially when attached with headphones ...
camera is without flash but still gives nice shots..
u can use , sorry see front cam by dialing*#0*# followed by 8 but cannot save those click photos ......
main problem m facing that u cannot go to menu while on call nd phone get locked as soon as u make or receive call ...but still these probs are bearable...
nice phone .... i must say this phone is value for money

hmm.. so is this phone really has no problems with weather conditions? coz' i'm really thinking of buying it.. pls help.. is this phone a best buy for us living at a temperature ranging from 27-37 degrees celcius?? or any recomended phone? ranging from 10k - 12k that can support 16g mem card

This phone is for every body.if you are from this backgroung , it doesnt mean that you have to live in a hot and humid place and make your monte s5620 suffer.......................................................

vish, 27 May 2010does this phone supports 3rd party softwares. i mean i had... moreYes it supports 3rd party applications. but they must be java applications :) besides you can install widgets too available through samsung site. another fact some people used to complain that they can't use even java applications in this model. but thats not true! the java version used here is MIDP 2.0 so you may face problems installing applications that are meant for MIDP 2.1; its not a problem just use the correct version if u face problems installing apps. better go to mobile9/mobango etc. sites & you'll find apps supported by this mobile.

SAMEER HEDA, 28 May 2010hey guys i am planning to buy this phone...jus have some qu... moreNo flash! but still camera quality is good :) specially day snaps are very nice! about software..monte is just very responsive both from the point of its touch sensitivity as well software functioning. no prob. at all! no hangs or so! nokia often hangs to be honest & gets slow after some use. even if you use memory card fully in nokia it hangs. but particulary this model of samsung is very nice one :)

rohit, 28 May 2010how to open menu while on call........ moreover i am facin... moreNo way to open "menu" during a call! you can just open keypad/phonebook/memo etc. besides you can send message, can use functions like mute/hold/video call etc. and the phone locks automatically while making a call or receiving a call and its normal :) so to unlock it just press & hold the "lock/hold key". thats it!

sekar, 28 May 2010hi tanuj...tnx for ur support.... even though i am able to ... moreThe values displays correctly always for me :) I can receive upto 10 satelites & correct long/lat/alt values. Do remember, after receiving the no. of satelites (as you said you could receive upto 6 satelites) wait 2/3 minutes watching the no. of satelites and they simply press the "back" key of mobile to go back to the "satelite status/gps position" screen and there you can see your long/lat/alt values :)

Even 1300 is a joke and limitation. I receive nearly 1000 messages per month which i store because of their quality and memory.
Probably it might not serve me :(
Any suggestion guys within 10k. 3g and Wi-fi are required.

is there any solution for this...

Coz I think having this Samsung Monte right in your own hands is the best know-how teacher compared to the forums/social networking sites you have attended/joined. And I live in a middle-class house located here in metro manila (where the climate is so hot because it’s summer and worsened by El Niño).
2. FYI: I’m speaking from my experiences and not simply playing with the keyboards.
3. The store already informed me that they only do replacement once. Yes, I’m planning to go directly to DTI. But right now, I just want my hard-earned cash back….

sourav, 27 May 2010can anybody who uses this phone tell me that, is Monte have... moreThis phone doesn't have handwriting recognition and the qwerty keypad features. The sound quality is okay on both speakers and headphones. But if you live in a humid/hot climate places better (like in my case coz we're experiencing El Niño here in sunny Phil.) think a hundred times coz it automatically turns on-and-off-and-on-and-off mode. And if you actually live in the Phil. think a thousand times! coz if you found out that youre phone is defective you're going to experience super stress and hassles before u can have your unit replaced with a new one (even if u bought it in an authorized dealer of Samsung mobile)..
