hey guys i am planning to buy this phone...jus have some queries..please answer them
1.does the camera have a flash?
2.how s samsung s software,is it slow?..can u use a third party software?
3.is it better than nokia 5230?

does this phone supports 3rd party softwares.
i mean i had a samsung j800 and i tried to install jar/jad files but of no avail.
i wanted a dictionary desperately on my phone,so i went to the service centre.they informed me that samsung does not supports any external softwares other than provided by them on the website......:(
i really liked samsung phones but unavailability of 3rd party software turn off me. i am in a way of buying yet another fone but caught in a dialemma between samsung monte and nokia 5235.

can anybody who uses this phone tell me that, is Monte have the following features
1)handwriting recognition
2)qwetry keypad
how is the sound quality of both the loudspeaker (i mean ringtone quality) and headphone provided in the box?
pls help me, actually i plan to buy this phn,
which one will be the better, Nokia 5235 or Samsung monte?

Yes you can backup as well can restore the messages easily :) The phonebook capacity is 2000 contacts plus SIM capacity. Don't have any direct backup/restore facility for contacts but you can have either copy or move them :)

This phone attracted me a lot and hence i'm looking forward to buy it. Its really great to have such a mid-range phone with a plenty of features. It has great looks and has been equipped with 3.2 megapixel camera which can make you to get rid of carrying an extra digicam. I'm gonna write another review after my purchase.

Getting mine tomorrow (or so I hope)... First time I'm getting a Samsung phone, really hope I made the right choice! Will leave another comment soon on what I think of the phone. Judging by the comments here it seems that it doesn't have any problems.

They didnt said that they r facing problem like you.you are trying to say that monte s5620 works only in a/c atmosphere and not in humid condition.are you trying to tell that u live in a place where temperature might be around 50 degree to 60 degree celcius.

My Monte Tragedy :C (PLEASE BE INFORMED/WARNED)
I’ve chosen Samsung Monte (S5620) because of its style and cool features (3G, wifi-enabled, HSDPA and full touchscreen). When I got home that night after buying the phone, my Samsung Monte automatically went ON-and-OFF MODE! I was so pissed off and simply mad and felt cheated because (1) I bought mine in an authorized dealer of Samsung mobile, and (2) the sales lady in the store even made demonstrations and trial testing of the phone to show that it functions well.
In order to speed up the process of damage control, I personally went to Samsung Phils.’s main service center to request for a technical report stating that my phone is defective so I can have it change for a new unit (this is the store’s policy - even if the phone is less than a week old). After all the hassles I’ve experienced, finally the store replaced my phone and battery with brand new ones. Alas! I found out, in my very room at our modest house, that my NEW phone is just the same as the first one – useless! The next day I even bought a memory card (my last opt – maybe the phone’s memory is insufficient) since the unit and battery already failed me. But then again, it’s no use. So now I’m surrendering (or shouldn’t I?)
FYI: Samsung Monte (S5620) was released early this year (March 2010)
Probable causes/reasons why my Samsung Monte went ON-and-OFF-and-ON-OFF automatically:
1. The phones’ software is not updated
2. The main board is defective? (for both phones? what a coincidence!)
3. Samsung Monte cannot adapt/does not function well/useless in a humid climate or in hot- temperature areas/places (like my case because it only happens inside our home..but normally functions in our centralized, air-conditioned office)
4. Samsung brand is clearly low quality/sub-standard? (sad, sad, sad – it’s my first time to patronized a Samsung product)
Please, please, please help me..what should I do??

Hiii Everyone. i bought this phone today 27th may from chandigarh 22 market at just RS 8600(VOWWWWWWW!!).
I also kept in touch with these forums and after reading all the reviews on this I decided to go ahead and buy this one(s 5620).
GREAT LOOKS first of all...touch pad is very responsive...Sound Great!!. Overall a nice phone at just rs 8600.
Will use internet and GPRS as well on this phone.. Will update all you guys regarding that..
Please post any suggestions and experiences you might have regarding the usage of net on the phone as well as GPRS..

BUT, having a lot of calls disconnected while didn't got disconnected with my previews nokia phone.

Anonymous, 27 May 2010samsung is not very much concerned on the design of thier p... morewho have guided you. samsung is just making it's phone better & better. look at nokia a small version of nokia n97 is c6.they copied evry thng.the look of the model is like a brick.look at 5800 5230 5233 they all look same.but this is not happening with samsung.
