With superscript being all the rage for Sammy these days, here comes another preview of an Ultra nice handset. What makes the Samsung S7220 Ultra b special is not only the clean but inspired Bar styling. It's the features it packs in, like the 2.2" AMOLED display at QVGA resolution and the built-in 5-megapixel autofocus camera with LED flash.

The sharp and compact handset boasts HSDPA and Bluetooth connectivity and for all wired connectivity you can rely on the standard microUSB port.

The Samsung S7220 Ultra b looks a lot like the S8300 UltraTOUCH - which we also previewed - and could be considered as the candybar variety of the latter (although not as impressively equipped). The relationship to the other devices in the series is very clear - the plastic frame with brushed metal finish around the screen is common to them all.
The Samsung S7220 Ultra b compared to the S8300 and S7350 Ultra s
This comparison picture features a very early version of the S7220 Ultra b and the S8300 UltraTOUCH. The almost final S7350 Ultra s unit we received later on reveals a slight change to the design. Anyway, we're posting these images to show you the family resemblance between the three handsets, while this preview has been based on the final unit.

I personally don't like this. Doesn't seem to have any character, missing important features, built on outdated Samsung interface

Agreed, it looks nice, but QVGA is unacceptable in 2009 for a high end phone.
