However, 95% of these java apps will not work.
So you can try to get a dictionary but given the limited to non existent availability of Java apps (not games) and the fact that the vast majority do not work, it would be difficult

ProtoT1p, 22 Nov 2009Can anyone tell me how much ram memory this phone have,what... more8000 jet has standard operating system , no symbian no windows. you can upload java software. my phone came with route66 navigation software and google maps. I also have a windows mobile 6.0 phone and believe me it is nothing but problem.

I'm having strong critics and What i have to say about SAMSUNG JET is that is one of the best phone i ever had or seen.Despite little slower picture fliping and touch not as good as iphone,but it has everything and is the most user frendily phone ever.
If you are looking for a toch screen phone and with great media player then buy jet.

ta samsung jet is an awesome mob.. got it a couple of days back.. ta battery still hasn't run out after ta first charge..
amazing screen clarity... i can watch movies on ta jet without converting it into another format..
i can even connect it to my tv and match excellent quality movies..
but one doubt.. where can i get apps for my jet.. i would like a dictionary pls...

Its in the profile settings. Choose a profile, press the red arrow next to it, then at the top change the 'incoming call' bit to 'text message' and you can then change the message tone.
Can someone tell me if the message tone,when set to an mp3 song, plays the whole song or just a little bit over and over?

Hi. I know you can set mp3's sms alert tones, but i was wondering if it plays the whole song or just a bit over and over. Also, is there the setting to make the sms tone start quiet and get louder and louder the longer it rings? Thanks.

I'm also from South Africa. So far really liking what I'm seeing spec-wise from this phone and the positive feedback.
BUT
Since I've read that the phone doesn't support .jar files I'm a bit concerned about MXit not being able to run in the phone, I not so sure if MXit uses .jar file type or not.
From a fellow South African, can you please tell me whether or not MXit will work on the JET?

Hi, can somebody tell me about D1 video recording on this S8003 jet comparing with D1 on S8300 about the quality? I know those two had the same D1 720x480 @30FPS, but is it exactly the same quality?
Does the differentiate on the megapixel camera will affect the quality on the video recording?

and its pretty cool_
