GUYZ IN INDIA,
I have S8003 with latest PC Suite from samsung website, but i cant update my phone's firmware, i am getting device not supported.
Any guyz frm india manage to update the firmware yet?

piyush, 29 Jul 2009hey people im planing to buy jet in the coming week..but im... morethe 3gs is put together with obsolete hardware except for the cpu and flash memory..I've read that the phone was manufactured for less than 200USD-based on economies of scale, assembly cost is probably insignificant so you can assume that this is mostly component costs. If you are willing to be locked into apple's way and mindset of "controlling their customers" then you should get the iphone because it uses the best software on the planet

-HD has 720 HD video rec. with aac sound vs. jet's dvd with ? sound
-jet has higher pixel density but smaller screen
-battery life on HD is way longer but firmware upgrades could level the field if jet engineers are competent enough

Anonymous, 29 Jul 2009I'm not 100% sure but I think it depends where you are, the... moredifference is the firmware...S8003 comes preloaded for GSM in Asia...also seems to have a bit more bugs in the OS as well vs. S8000..my ver is ...IF5...u can dial *#1234# to list your firmware ver

Anonymous, 29 Jul 2009pls!! can anyone tell me how to differentiate betwenn s8000... moreliterally nothing. it's just Samsung's way to keep a track on their region based products sales. 3 at the end of model only means this model should sell in middle-east. No quality or feature differences. same phone only with an extra number.

Can you 'busy' certain phone calls you don't want to take without the caller knowing you have done this? I currently use a Samsung phone and this option is not available like it is with Nokia's. Thanks in advance...

Can you permanently remove widgets from the side tray? there seems to be an awful lot of unnecessary ones in there.

Does the facebook widget direct you to a facebo... moreReplay to Arsenal. Yes you go direct to facebook website.You just log in with user name and password.
Another matter with this phone is that you cant install navigation yet.Samsung have problem with software.

piyush, 29 Jul 2009hey friends there are 2 models s8000 and s8003 but the phon... moreI'm not 100% sure but I think it depends where you are, the UK has the s8000 and asia has 8003. Don't think both are available in the same country. Not entirely sure what the difference is.
