if not there.. then maybe you can try flashing your phone to s8000 as what i did to my phone..
my phone also s8003 before then i flash & upgrade firmware to s8000..

Y do samsung keep bringing out poor quality phones???
I have the iphone and in comparison samsung canot make a good phone at all!

Guys, I am not able to find the option "Navigation" on my phone. Its S8003. Can some one help me on how to activate the Navigation on my phone? Thanks for your help.

Does anyone know if future firmware updates will support video recording using the aac audio codec like the Omnia HD? The sound recording on my S8003 is terrible.

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970if ur a software person you should like the 5800 better. if ur a hardware person the jet is outstanding. having said that, what is a phone without software, e.g. try deleting all of your software on your phone and try seeing what you can do with it...nothing, its becomes useless.point is the two go hand in hand..nokia is better in this area.

i already d/l the latest NPS and install it, but when i wanna update the software, it said 'DEVICE NOT SUPPORTED'..NPS detect my Jet, only software update problem, sync etc works well..
can u help me to solve this problem..

My finding:
pro's:
* Great display
* Good soundquality
* Good divx playbackfunction
* Decent sound for calls
* Can install java apps for Msn/skype ( although it might be a bit buggy )
* 3,5 jack for headphone
* Wifi function
* GPS with googlemaps works great
Cons:
* My biggest problem so far is that aps seem to lose connection when idle. I tried updating firmware but that didn't solve my issue. Msn and skype do not stay online. Anyone that knows a fix for this let me know.
* Battery life is slightly disappointing. First day it got me through 5 hours, keep in mind that i was intensivly using wifi and 3g though. Second day got me roughly 8-9 hours. Again I was using the mobile fairly brutal ( divx playback and mp3 playback allmost non stop )Still i had hoped for a bit more juice from a new battery.
* Userinterface. It seems to be work in progress. When i dragged a widget back to the menubar my mobile rebooted? why? cant shut down my music player on the task manager either. Only way i can get rid of it is by pressing pause and dragging it to the menubar.. ( I'm on the latest firmware patch so that shouldnt be the problem )
* Samsung new pc studio software also still has a fair share of bugs. Menu's that you don't seem to be able to quit. Wont connect your phone either, unless you quit all applications running on your mobile. ( which can be intentionally done ofcourse, but they should elaborate on the whole " phone is not on idle mode " message. Updating firmware caused my Adresslist to be cleared. Make sure you backup that before you update your phone through this software.
Even after balancing the pro's and the cons this is still a very good phone. As a media device is can probably compete with the best out there, however if you intend to use it for messaging mostly than you're probably better of with an iphone, windowsmobile device or blackberry.
For connectivity to exchange: this phone has exchange synchronise support installed, but i wouldn't advise this for any business like function: Samsung phones still tend to be bit unstable on that department.

its only 5mp on all networks apart from vodafone which is a 3.2.
only found that out by looking in the box,which is abit disapointing

My phone tends to have missed calls problem.
After i cleared my missed calls and tried to restart my phone, the missed calls showed up once again.
and after i tried deleting it and restart my phone, the deleted call still shows.
what can i do?

Install NPS (New PC Studio)
Connect your phone to PC via Samsung Mobile USB data cable.
Run NPS and click ‘Software Update’. Then it will guide you through the installation process.
it works to my samsung jet s8003 and i am currently using the latest firmware thanks to the NPC
