how to update your samsung jet s8003
download a new pc studio
http://sg.samsungmobile.com/supports/softwaremanuals/softwareOtherUpdate.do
Install NPS (New PC Studio)
Connect your phone to PC via Samsung Mobile USB data cable.
Run NPS and click ‘Software Update’. Then it will guide you through the installation process.
it works to my samsung jet s8003 and i am currently using the latest firmware thanks to the NPC

I've seen both the... morethere is an icon like a pc on the left hand corner of my handset,it wasnt there earlier,came when i was just looking at the list of widgets.i want to browse thru wifi only,how to make that icon disappear,as it says,if i browse,some charges will be incurred...

There's only S8003 available here. You mentioned that you're able to surf youtube on the Jet, despite many user's complains about the phone's wifi. Is there any problems visiting other websites like facebook etc?

s8003 work well with youtube. i can watch youtube in this phone. i think should be ur connection problems.
