Any hope of a new firmware to improve sound quality when recording video?
It's supposed to be the phone with the most powerful CPU so I bet it can record in AAC as well (sound while recording video) and just like the Omnia HD can now record in AAC too, thanks to a firmware update.
So are we going to see a firmware update for the S8000 Jet as well to finally have DECENT sound when recording video??

jet is not a smartphone, so dont expect it to have all the smartphone function..
for me, what i like about samsung jet :
1) screen display - marvellous
2) speed - no lag when multitasking
3) user friendly
4) camera - many function that really good enough for cameraphones

difference between those two :
S8003 doesn't have GPS software while S8000 do have it..
i think that is the only difference..
any other diff that anyone know?

I think Asia is having the version S8003... Go for the phone u like... As many phone will be out in every few months... You can read from people opinion, they can give you the review of how good and bad is the phone but the main thing is when u use it do you like it? Hahax... As for Jet, it is pretty good...

i just wan to know more about samsung jet because i still thinking whether samsung jet or samsung omnia 2 is better? can anyone tell me which one is better despite of the screen?

I also want to buy the Jet but Jet can only view documents. I want a phone that can edit word or excel which is what the Jet lacks at the moment. But I know Jet supports Java so if someone finds a Java application that can edit documents, pls share! I have not yet found one.

and as far as i know asia pacific gets 8003 only unless u buy it of the net..

please record video in a very loud place (concert , disco...).
Is the sound very bad (saturated crackling noise)?
