I have had this phone since March 2009, no problems with it at all really good phone

Is the nokia 5230 faster than the samsung s8300, and im looking for a phone with good performance and great features! Ive heard that the samsung has more features. But im impressed with the nokia 5230s display. Is the samsung s8300 display any good compared to the nokia 5230? Im realy considering on taking the samsung, but im too unsure about performance.

I know the samsung s8300 costs a hell of lot more, but my friend wants to swap his samsung s8300 with my nokia 5230. Should I take the Samsung? or should I keep the nokia? His samsung is still in great condition!

You can use the volume button to change the font size of the message. up will enlarge the font and the down-key will make it smaller.
as for changing the font in general: Setting> 3-font type> choose the font type that you prefer. But you cant choose the font size in general for this phone.

poor battery life,and its difficult to get spare parts.my s8300 had a problem with its belt but upto now cant get one to replace the damaged one

i hv to recharge my battery evry now and then... poor bettry life..

Not happy with this Samsung model always having to re charge even though manual states not to for at least a week now loosing charge with in-coming calls ? 2nd phone same problem much prefer older soul model
Is there a battery fault or not no-one will confirm

i have this phone for 2 weeks and this is my list of pro and con :
PRO :
1 Wonderful touch screen. clear vibrant colors
2perfect 8Mp camera. previous user of lg Kc 980, se w995, lg viewty, s5230.
3 very stylish , slim:) and gives a sentiment of sturdiness and control
4 perfect combination of touch+slide+keypad.
CONS
1 THe batteries can't handle so much awesomeness so it last 1 day with talk, pictures, web browsing, games, music.
ps: adding this comment using opera 4.2 on s8300 and t9 just to prove its a great phone

Nice phone. Does anyone know how to show the days events on the main screen. I can grab the event bar from the widget and place it on the main screen but it does not show what scheduled events are on that day

No ppoint in buying these phone... because I as using it happily but suddenly it stopped charging and always heats up like an iron when connected to a charger. There' no one who can fix that so the whole money gone in vain.... F samsungS8300, back to my Sonyericsson w960. kinda miss the capacitive touch :-(
