Just wondering if anyone has had any trouble with the slide answering function on the handset?? Have a customer who continues to put the handset on mute when answering the phone. Placed the phones answering function to 'slide', however for some reason the the phone can still be answered by pressing one of the available buttons.. wondering if this is a usual issue or if it is something refinded to this particular customers handset. ??

Hi, I was testing the Samsung star in a store
which has similar phonebook as the ultratouch,
when I type "P" or "Pe" in the search, how come
the contact "Peter" can't come up. Should the
contacts be copied first to phone directory
before it can be searched by text.. how do you
use search in your phonebook? What must you
type to initiate the search after typing the
text? Thanks.

Few weeks I've spend testing devices for taking photo/video documentary. You know, mobile is more often in Your pocket ready to work than any camera. I've made many tests with N97, Omnia HD, N85, S8300, iPhone, Pixon12, xPeria. So, I had S8300 for a few days and then sold out cause of poor battery life. 1h45min of video recording with full battery was to short for me. I sold it out ant tomorrow I will receive new one. Why. Because none of mentioned above devices good results in both photo & video category. S8300 from my experience is the only devise giving fine quality pic and best video in mobiles. iPhone is really fast, gives great video, macro and ok pic but S8300 is better and cheaper. Of course there are some disadvatages in all mentioned phones. But as second handset in my pocket S8300 will do a great job. For long talks I have E52 for its best battery life.

Lyd, 23 Feb 2010I have lost service a few times and have had to remove and ... moreIntermittent SIM connection? Watervapour or pollution dirtying the contacts most likely. Clean the SIM and the gold contacts on the phone with an alcohol wipe or cottonbud and meths. Good luck

Asthetic wise good. but hopeless Camera, 8MP only for name, Daylight outdoor results are OK but rest
V V V V poor. Battery is also very weak. Very slow processer.

Note that the phone needs to be in the closed position. Once you are in the create message screen tap the 'black' message section of the screen and it will bring up the touch keys.
Some people think that it is slower then the keys so they don't use it. I find there is a small delay but if you type your message without waiting for each letter to come up you will actually find it catches up to you. it takes a bit of getting use to
