this phone is great... the only flaw is that it hasn't got wifi.. but i guarantee that this mobile will be at stores for a very very long time!
it has a great design it's touch and 8mp, also has an 8mp camera!
what else do you need?
is wifi really a problem or we want things that we will never use?
think about it.. this is a mobile not a computer!

I've bought this phone for about half a month. I realised when I was playing the music with a earpiece on, and a message being received was not notified and no msg tone was played. Isit the handphone function or its my phone's problem?

Hey, for those who're complaining from the Battery Life..
Try turning the phone off and charge it before your sleep at night and disconnect it at the morning. I tried this and now it complteted 1 day without loosing any battery line with my same old usage.
Before, I've used to charge my phone while it's turned on and after 2 hours charging it tells me battery is full and i unplug the phone. the phone was lasting hardly a 3/4 day. But that was the dark old days.

Also i cant seem to set up my voice messages. I have some on the phone but when i press option 1 to change my message i cant or option 2 to listen to my messages i cant.

But the short cut to the create message would be really helpful!

Kurpt - Mine lasts for about 2 days and i would say i am an average user. Its prob the only down side the battery does not hold at all! i guess it just means getting into a routine of putting it on charge every other night. My last samsung used to last about 5 days with the same usage.

I used to have a G600 before this and yes this has more features a nicer looking phone etc but the G600 seemed easier to text etc as it had the shortcut key in the middle.

It has taken me a while to get use to it but this seems to be the way modern phones are going and its up to you if you need an all singing all dancing phone or not.

The added keypad does certainly help though. i dont think i could handle just a touch screen phone.

If you do get this one, you will think its a lot bigger heavier than the G600 but i personaly think this is good. The G600 now looks and feel cheap and rubbish

naadhan, 12 May 2009To all who worried about wifi, Samsung won the hearts of al... moreits also about price. S8300 is lot cheaper than OmniaHD, NOkia N79 and Applie iPhone. I believe price is a major factor when comparing features.

i just recently purchased my se8300 ultra touch last week and the features are just so amazing. the touch screen is just so responsive and i really love it. i'm using samsung d880 before ( because of the dual sim capability) and that made me decide to purchase another samsung product. it is as user friendly as nokia but the 8300 has 16 million colors. aside from that its 8mp camera is just so impressive. though it doesnt support wifi capability but the rest of the features are overwhelming. i think u guys should try one!

very nice phone nice screen, camera quality is super the videos are very very nice, music is loud, the bad thing is that when u write an sms there is no arrow to go up down left or right, and when u click on the screen between the text it doesnt respond that good, battery life is also very bad, but for the rest the phone is very very nice, hope that there is an update soon

yep if u go into your widget options you can put create message in there. then take out all the pointless ones from on there and just use the essentials.
