Sorry to... moreSee apparently, what I have noticed unlike Nokia, Samsung isn't listening to their customers around the wrold about what people want out a phone like their arch rivals Nokia does. For this I probably can blame Samsung for it.
But, neither do I think Samsung had made use that maximum of the opportunities if we look at Samsung Wave 1 and Wave 2 certain features that fail to impress us, especially I'm pointing out at d Memory issue. For a brand to become people's favorite has to evolve constantly before it start living upto cusmtomers satisfaction and over satisfying our needs.
Honestly I just like the Samsung wave 1 and 2 cuz somebody at Samsung said Ok we need Mobile Access point enhancer which isn't available in many phones. But, 1/2 of the features I've noticed in these phone are not used by 50% + users, its more used for games as well. One another thing is apparently if Samsung is going to fail to live up to customers expectations they'd be the ULTIMATE LOOSERS!! Neither you nor I can change it. Its just the matter of time, I'm patient enough to wait for the update.
Cooz say's the technological upgrades when compared to android is way to late. Well, I feel Samsung should have rather opted for LiMO OS over already smooth Android to add their touch Viz 2.0 version, makes no sense to me. I feel samsung has a good job by offer a good phone with a good price range for its features. I mean other users have their opnion but, you can't expect Brands to give a super model with no bugs for the first time. Perhaps we've all seen this in all the major brand its a learning curve for everybody and every brand in the Universe to make changes gradually.

i just updated my mobile from samsung service centre now it shows d software version as bada 1.0.2 1009171721LISS8500DDJI2.
my question wat's d latest version whether its bada 1.0.2 or bada 1.2?

how to update to BADA 1.2
Every time when i connect to KIES, it says i hv the up to date version, really appreciated if some body can explian, cause there r so many apps which only could be intalled on 1.2 not on 1,thansk in advance

Just want to check with you those who updated to bada 1.2 is "Call Recording" (conversation recording) available ??
Is there a way to hack and make this feature available in bada 1.2 ??
It must be somewhere that need to register and activate it somewhere or modify some of the configuration.

Sushi, 25 Apr 2011Dude, except Samsung nobody is offering Super-Amoled for th... moreIn todays market time is no excuse for lack of software.you also can't compare early android with early bada cos the technological differences at the time of their respective releases are miles apart.everything is at the hands of Samsung developers to use at their own free will.weather they choose to do so and why or why not is up to them.bada has great potential but one great floor which will unfortunately stop it from ever becoming anything like Android and that floor is Samsung.why?.....2 reasons.first cos they own it and therefore not being fully open source to other manufactures will never cover a large enough market and secondly Samsung are not the best when it comes to firmware updates/releases.which to me is a shame cos I would like to see bada give android a run for its money.

Android is now a serious headache for iOS day by day in every department! interesting...

Anonymous, 25 Apr 2011+1 for this guy.. samsung is dead slow..don't u know "slow & steady always wins the race"! for ex. look at Android, when they began their journey where they were, how they were & suddenly after 3 yrs later they r now top of the Symbian & even Apple OS! so u see when every new OS began their journey makes slow progress & only in times they catch up the rest. Bada will also catch up whether u like it or not..

First, I don't see any relevance of discussing about Nokia phones. I was talking about bada OS not Nokia or Samsung phones. Samsung phones under Android flagship are doing great and have deadly specs in terms of hardware. It's the bada OS that is not keeping up to with the user expectations. You can see Samsung's energies being channeled towards Android.
Coming to the early days of Android, those were early days for smart phone technologies itself. iOS was the undisputed king; Android caught up well and is now a serious contender for apple. Now, the technologies are open to everyone. So don't compare the early days of Android and Bada. I am still saying Bada is a great OS and has great potential to be the number one but is not getting enough effort from Samsung.
Coming to the claims that 2.0 will come on so and so date/month/year, we have seen enough of that. Get us simple things man - a VOIP app, better memory management.
Hope people think rationally.
