I am about to buy a Wave...not sure if I should buy a Wave I (S8500) or Wave II (S8530). When I checked with the prices at Dubai Duty Free...the Wave I (S8500) is more expensive than Wave II because of the SAMOLED display! Please advice...thanx!

I have been with the wave for the last 8 months and it has been a great phone, but without the updates coming and lack of apps and smartphone programs which this phone could handle with ease I will be selling this phone and moving onto the Galaxy 2.
I think bada 2.0 will never been seen on this mobile, Samsung are more likely to release a new phone with updated software than provide updates. Makes sense money wise.

th... moreYou can say that. But for us people still stuck with bada 1.0, to hear Samsung talking about bada 2.0 is very frustrating. We've been waiting for bada 1.2 for months. And how sure are you that S8500 is getting bada 2.0?
What's with the delay in the roll out of bada 1.2 anyway? In Android, any delays is understandable after all the customizations done by every manufacturer. Touchwiz UI, Sense UI, Timescape, etc. In iOS, at least you know your phone is definitely getting the update. But in bada? Maybe you can explain.
In bada, Samsung is all talk, with timeframes so broad and vague. Pure PR talk. Aimed specifically for developers.
I admire your attitude, very optimistic. But don't make up excuses for Samsung's inefficiencies.
I'm a reasonable guy, but this long months of waiting is getting on my nerves.
If you are willing to wait, then wait.
I'm out of here. This will be my last post.

the updates didn't come often for ny OS. it doesn't matter whether u go for android or nt. android & apple is much superior OS. but even they also takes time for update. android won't come this far if they don't take time to update their os. when an update release it didn't change 1 or 2 things. lots of things change according to versions. there r not 1 or 2 software present in a phone. lots of software getting realese now-a-days. from that they see, they judge & then take dicission whether it'll go or get update or nt. & for that it takes time.
if u want something new, good & stable os u've to give time. otherwise it'll be like symbian!..

as far i see samy will do 2 things to update bada. whether they will update to v1.2 & then go for the v2.0 or will go straight to update the bada family to v2.0 in april. it'll be a good move if they do so the 2nd one. as they r saying both wave devices will be update to v2.0.. let see wht happens. only time will say...

nice phone .. am using it for months ,. , but if Samsung does not give us bada 2.0 , stop buying samsung as it wil mean wastage of hardware By greedy samsung

I thought it's 1st quarter of the year for bada 1.2.
