Wher... moreyup i already have a 1.2 firmware in my phone.. i dont know exactly how i do it. as far as i remember i just plug in my phone to my laptop and using the kies app w/ internet connection.. after a few minutes i read something in my kies app and it says "a new firmware for update is available" then i click it and there it is.. i just follow the instruction and now i already have the 1.2 firmware.
i upgrade my phone last january 15 2011.

To get 30day free trial u have to mail route66 support centre with ur imei no under the battery or on the box it will take 1 or 2 days to activate.
u cann download maps for free create a account on route66 connect the phone and login and download any country.

GPS PROBLEMS:
Hi WAVE owners...I m facing problem in handling the GPS system of WAVE.
1st ...whenevr I want to lock the GPS..everytime its synchronising the license.
2nd...people..and a few online forum says..that complete navigation package from Route66 is free for 30 days...but im not getting it! suppose fro 'Driev and Walk' or 'Traffic Information' its not givng me any..its showing me a 'shopping' icon..probbly asking me to buy the feature.
3rd...locking the GPS position is perfectly working
4th...found in many forums that the minimised map package (without voice guidance and all) is available for free download(lifetime) from Route66 website...I tried to find out there...but :( ..couldnt...anyone done so? or anyone having any idea how to download that for free using KIES?

Oliver, 31 Jan 2011still no new firmware update here in the phils, still 1.0 ... morethere is already firmware 1.2 here in the Philippines.. just connect your phone thru kies and w8 for the application to detect the new update.

They say patience is a virtue. :-)
I don't know how long I still have to wait and if it's really WORTH THE WAIT. :-(

[deleted post]I hate to say this but it's far from being the best theme. This theme can be found on mysamsungwave.com
It may be the best theme for you but for me there are a whole lot better themes than that.
So stop shoving it down on our throats.

An owner of s8500 says that some apps and widgets get updates but they don't notify users. I'll have it tomorrow so it's quite important. How can I prevent widgets and apps from downloading WITHOUT permission? I'd prefer they ask and then I decide which one and when my mobile should download. Also if a free wi-fi is available, I'd like to use it when my mobile downloads apps and widgets so I pay less. How could I do it? Please, help me.
