I am a vivid Sony Erickson fan..the last phone i had was W550i...when i was looking for a smart phone, the xperia series came to my mind...but finally got wave due to its specification and price.
Its been almost 4 months and m just loving this phone. Till date i never had a issue with any of the feature.
Awesome audio/video, amazing battery lyf, good camera, excellent touch response.
Yes the number of apps are less,dat is obvious considering bada is new.
For those comparing wave with android phones, it would be better if you can compare it with android 1.5 or the first version of android.

Samsung is very poor in its support ... morepeople must understand that although samsung is the world largest technology company but it can not do miracles ....people wants all android and iOS apps to be available for bada os in less than year and this is clearly impossible but samsung did a good job tell now ,for example look at kies now and before it was improved rapidly and is becoming equal to apple itunes ,also look at bada SDK now it is 1.2.1 with much improvement and we will expect a lot of more powerful apps to come.
samsung also did an official survey about the most needed apps for bada and it work on import them sooner.
the developer challenge and developer days are a good indicators for samsung biug support for bada .
and in Feb there will be a developer day in Barcelona with new news for bada
IMO samsung is still supporting bada

I blame samsung for poor and terrible software ... morebada os was just released in 2010 so it is very stupid to compare it to android 2.1 or 2.2 ,you can compare it to android when was first released ,you will find bada is much better .
bada 1.2 is available unofficially since long time ,you could download it if you were dieing for it.
samsung delayed the official bada 1.2 until Feb 2011 because sammy is working on a lot of improvements on bada 1.2
"Android is several lightning years ahead compare to bada and samsung"
what do you mean by that??!!the samsung galaxy line is the top seller android phones.
"bada only for children"
only a child write a sentence like yours.
bada 2.0 is coming for the wave but it might be released with a new phone as what happened with bada 1.2 and wave II

wave default theme and icons are very bad. This sho... morewave default theme is not very bad ,it is nice and much better than the theme in your link.
there are a lot of nice themes in samsung app store and mysamsung wwave forums.

2.Video player?????? its the best in wave.u can play all the video formats.u can also switch on/off subtitles.now if u want flv videos to play,then wait for updates.it will surely cum.it garaunteed.
3.Dolphin browser is good enough to replace firefox.flash 10.1 will be embedded in it in updates.and the text reflow????why d hell u want that thing????
4.and the other things u said bout the downloading being stopped after light off and the java apps,these all require just an upgrade and nothing else.JVM(java virtual machine) can also be updated.
5.So,these all require just upgrades and no particular softwares.
6.and man!!!! why do u talk bout things ,wav dont have now.talk bout the things wave has and no other phone has.like the hardware,touch screen,SUPER AMOLED,1 cm thickness,and softwares like SNAPnGO,bcontrol,and now a new software is cuming in which u can see ur computer screen in wave and access files of computer.like clicking "my computer" icon of ur computer in wave.And other inbuilt things in wave like snapshot,ALLSHARE(which works like charm),all the HD games ,music player,sending automatic sms in which u set a time to send the sms automatically,best camera,HD video recording,sending sms via bluetooth,accessing another phones memory card via bluetooth,full metallic body,touch retouch software.WAT ELSE U WANT????????
LAstly,i want to say that u gave examples of iphone and other phones.My sis has an iphone and she hates it and loves wave.and if u like the app store of iphone why didt u buy iphone???????

It is software n the user experience that what matters. I bought samsung wave coz i was shocked to see such a powerful hardware at such a low price. But later on, i am very disappointed coz of bada os n lack of apps. And the most irritating thing is that downloading stops/get paused when the backlight is off. For example wen i am downloading/sync emails then the downloading stops wen backlight is off. Same for java apps. Just irritating. U know how htc and apple became so famous ?? Not because of hardware but because of software n user experience. Thats why apple iphone is so famous n people still buy iphone 3gs till today. I have learnt a lesson that while buying a phone one should mostly check the software, os and user experience and d hardware comes at last, what's the use of hardware wen we can't fully utilise coz of lack of apps. Even if samsung wave had 2ghz dual core cpu, 1gb ram, etc etc, i wud still be disappointed with bada. . . . .i am not apple fan. I am using nokia n86 and samsung wave. . .just disappointed with samsung wave. Next time i buy a phone, i will go for htc or nokia.

most irritating thing is text message font size. very-very big.unchangeble. my neighbours, co passengers, everybody can read it.I can hardly read any message without scrolling. I think samsung made it for old or for people with high no. glasses. oh they can also pinch zoom if not satisfied. POOR SAMSUNG, IDIOT CARTOON YOU KILL THE BEAUTIFUL SCREEN.

I blame samsung for poor and terrible software support.They fool us around almost several mounths about bada 1.2-shame on you samsung.Now i heard that bada 2.0 will not be for wave, but for some new model s85XX-shame on you samsung.Just look the google and what powerful aplications they provided for android.Android is several lightning years ahead compare to bada and samsung.Android has so many powerful applications, bada only for children.Just watch how many new application show on samsungapps.com - it is pathetic !!!
