i have voted 10-10-10 for samsung wave and N8
please dont fight with each other
sony ericsson is the worst phone manufacturer in earth
we should vote 1-1-1 for them but not nokia or samsung.

owned this piece black one on july 2...came across the biggest flaw of wave... You cant install more than ten oages of applications.. Means you can install maximum 116 applications..it doesnt matter how many applications are available .. You cant install more than 116 after which it says .. Maximum applicatons reached.. It feels like a piece of crap now.. Sorry for betraying you nokia..htc.. Apple.. Samsung wave is meaning less whether it has a million apps in app store coz you cant install more than 116 apps in your wave.. So guys throw it.. X(

Hi Vinay, Wave 8400 is Available in Hyderabd, as i came to Hyd last Saturday for my interview,
I Saw WAVE 8500 nearly 5 pieces in Display for selling in a Big Mobile Shop,
I'm not sure abt the shop name but the PLACE is AMIRPET that four roads mian signal,
There is a huge old shopping complex building where ment for 99 % electronic shops,
This Shop is the First shop right side in the ground floor while entering inside the complex...
Ur lucky to get it.. Enjoy the Wave 8500..

i had been a nokia fan for years but now end up to be using samsung wave...it really impressed me with its amazing peformance but im feeling guilty for betraying my NOKIA....TT

Most of them got it sorted by inserting the pin with little more pushing. It is required only once..the very first time. But if is still not working ... it could be a faulty set..get it exchanged from Samsung..
PS: One faulty set doesn't decide the model's rating dude. By the way this rating and voting stuff is really silly if u ask me..they don't serve the purpose anymore. I can still find some idiots buying a mobile based on USER VOTING (mmm... how many real users are voting anyway??!!) in a random site called GSMA !!
All said, Wave is an excellent phone..undoubtedly the best I have ever used..that doesn't mean..it is THE BEST out there..it is the best in its price range..at least for me

Anonymous, 14 Dec 2010I bought my samsung wave 8500 last Dec.2, 2010 at Edgecom -... more this fone has best headphone quality!did u pushed the 3.5 mm jack all the way in?u have push it a lil hard!at the first day i was also thinking my wave headset was faulty but the storekeeper show me how it is to b done!so either ur headset is faulty or u have done the same the same thing as me u need to push it a lil harder
so that u will hear a click sound!!

I bought my samsung wave 8500 last Dec.2, 2010 at Edgecom - SM Fairview and its only Dec. 14 today and I already brought my phone to Samsung Service center at SM North Edsa. The problem is a dedective headset jack. If you insert a headset the sound is distorted and only one plug is working. I was told to followup the status of my phone after 5 days...Hmmm... Maybe the voting results of this phone in which it stands at 8.8 in this site is somewhat exagerrated. What do you think?

I think this phone is worth it
It's specs are almost the same with Nokia 5800
at $300
this one is 270 Euro. it has better 5 MP
30 fps video recording.. wifi..
I think i'll buy one.
