i've tried to update the firmare to 1.2 but it said the phone have the latest software installed! did the bada firmware release in asia continent?..

just to share, i've flashed my wave to babd 1.2 ahead of official releas in asia, hehehe....
everything just great, like the swype add on in txting... everything seems fast, i can't relatively say it's faster than the previous version coz everything seems fast after the JH1 update.. just my 2 cents...

watch the freaking fast speed of bada and samsung wave.The speed is definitely out of this world.Nokia and htc can only dream about this speed

Hi there everyone!
I've been reading reviews and comments about this phone for several days now and I'm thinking about buying it.
But first of all I would like to ask the WAVE users 2 things:
1) Does it have Skype application (or other app that uses Skype protocol)?
2) Doet it have threaded view for the SMS?

i'm doing this repost as i see that new people are now posting here so i wanted to share my experience with them,
the only changes that happened in the past months were:
kies is now much better
rumors of skype support
lastly this is an honest logical review, if someone is against the wave try to 'discuss sanely' your point of view, coming here and swearing at the wave and its owners will only bring it down in your dreams...

After 10 years of being a Nokia user,
and with no regrets,
I'm riding the wave for 3 weeks now!
BEST value for money with no doubts
Top hardware quality, has everything i personally need:
excellant display,
fast,
good camera,
wifi and gps,
compass,
excellant sound quality,
3.5 connector,
very good camera,
and very good battery (after about 5 cycles of charging now i'm satisfied.
Bada: Although an infant OS, i'm totally satisfied with its performance (definately better than my last nokia e63), preloaded apps plus some free addition from the app store fulfill all my needs:
document viewer (BTW practically speaking you can not compose docs efficiently from mobile phones (this is my experience from the e63 editor),
navigation (i'm ok with r66 after i got used to it),
using the camera LED as a flashlight (very very important and useful, thanks to holland app store!),
alarms, timer, stop watch, calculator, unit converter,
some basic games are enough for me (e.g. bumpcrash).
it is nice to have more software coming up, but I'm already satisfied with what is there.
AS nothing is perfect and to give you the whole picture here is what i did not like:
Buggy Kies software,
VOIP VOIP VOIPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP,
i miss the keypad flashing event notification of my e63, now i have to physically press the unlock key to know if there is a notification (i wish they add a visual notification).
I miss the 30 days nokia call/sms/connection log
I miss being able to change the profile without going into the settings (only silent mode has a short cut)
I wish i'm able to activate a profile for a certain amount of time (like the old nokias),
typing in upright position is tricky (may be i have big fingers, i turn the phone sideways to get bigger keys and type with no problems) this is not a fault in the unit, it is the price of having a slim phone.
little available internal memory
in a nutshell: wave rocks! best value for money
if samsung keeps the pace like this, it will be the best mobile company in the world (i think it is already close)
lastly i thank the honest people who shared their experience here, because this is what helped me to choose my wave, and i hope that in turn someone else will benefit from my experience.
