Is bada 2.0 official update now available in the philippines via kies?
I'm not understanding why samsung is taking too long to provide updates. I'm now tired of waiting...

people have been laughing at me whenever I tried to swap my samsung s8500 wave to an xperia arc s, or a galaxy s2
but now after downloading
asphalt 6(just downloaded will try later), the sims 3, viki(personal assistant),
I realized how cool samsung wave is....
the only downside of wave now isnt the number of apps, but how impractical kies is whenever there is an update
appstore usually screws up from launching....its sad that wave needs to depend on kies appstore in order to install apps....

Two years of using this phone and now I moved to Android ('cause my wave is missing). TBH, I'm quite satisfied with this phone. It was really simple to use without forgetting on being a smartphone. When I first used Android, I was disappointed with it (maybe because of the UI?). I got so used with Bada that I find Android a bit weird to use (lol). It's too bad Samsung don't take care of this OS like Android. Bada is actually a good OS. Wave is a good quality phone. If Samsung takes care of this OS well, I'm pretty sure it'll reach the top someday. On the side note, Wave is a million times better than Wave 2 & 3. If someone is looking for a Bada phone, Wave 1 is the best choice. ^_^

Hey, is audio quality good in any of the beta/official 2.0.1 versions? Jumping from 1.2 to 2 means, just improved looks n a bit of goodies here or there, but overall, quality has rather gone down.

after 1,5 year of using bada and now android i must say don't you ever think about buying a bada phone, samsung wave is a nicely designed phone with tough built quality (i've dropped it about 4 times but still functioning with no scratch ) but bada os didn't improved as samsung promised ,the memory issue is still the music player became worse (the files that were stutter slightly on bada 1.2 now stutter terribly.still no skype?!?!?!no viber??!! nonimbuzz?!!?no whatsapp......etc
no video player that supports flv, rmvb,
the built in video player has issues with some audio formats.
no real multitasking and apps crashes a lot,you can't run multiple widgets ,most of bada apps are useless and repeated .

Advantages of Bada 1.0 to Bada 1.2 on my Wave
*Better music player
*Call recorder (but I don't care)
*Most of the times, the backlight time will take effect within 4 seconds even it was set to 1 minute or more.
It needs to restart the phone again and again....

Yeah I like my Wave but Kies does not. We always need to download the latest version of it and install again.
Updating on already installed Kies takes too long or will be finished indefinitely.
Also, the default region is "US" not "UK" which is not good to me even I'm in US coz every time I install the latest Kies, Samsung Apps will not appear.
It takes another time to change the default region everytime after installation.
How's your Samsung Kies Buddy?

Ive had a wave which randomly restarts everytime on official bada 1.2 software, but magically after upgrading to a beta kl6 bada 2.0 firmware
the restarts are gone!
much more stable!
although the widgets are a bit slower in terms of navigating through the widget pages
still everything is much more stable it seems than the official bada 1.2 version

Kies hates me so I must sell my wave and replace it with another mobile. Defy of neo V? I know wave is better than both but I need a smartphone or even a mobile WITHOUT kies. I can't re-install Windows 7 each time kies is bored and messes with my OS. People working for samsung can't help or don't care. So wave is definitely my LAST samsung no matter what. I wanted a SII but it comes with kies, too. Any ideas? Please, I need help.

this quetion is for those who have updated their ... moreI didn't use the phone a lot as it was my father's but I did all the setup.
Hickups we encountered:
- exchange sync that neither me neither the exchange's sysadmin managed to get working.
- new sms icon not appearing when the sms's are stored on the sim card.
The rest seemed quite ok.
