fufu, 25 Oct 2010unfortunatly need for speed shift is not available in samsung appnfs shift was available but sadly for a very short time only.. they just promote bada os..luckily i was able to have it,,,

check the same after one month, you no where see N8..
open your eyes man...Symbian can not support high pixel rate, it can not support high end processor..and that creepy interface and ugly look of menu..
all N8 fans chk before buying it...
No where it has good review....

hi every one,
I am using this phone from around 45 days. initially there is news of a million sold.... but now there is no news other than that the new handsets having with bada OS. what has happened to Samsung wave S8500. no news of any sales or advertisements on television. no news in any tech shows. & rumors are of discontinuity. what is going on. someone should ask for it to samsung?

Off course the Wave can not compete with the N8. Never mind the better hardware/specs the N8 has, but look at the OS! Symbian has been developed by the biggest cell company out there for almost 10 years. It is very streamlined by now. If a Symbian user complains about speed he means a different thing altogether because he is used to a different thing. Even Android is more popular then Bada. (Of course symbian is at the top popularity wise and has been there long before Bada and Android and Apple come along) Facts are facts and only fools will ignore them. Just look at the number of times the N8 site has been visited and the number of votes the N8 has and compare that with any other cell (never mind the S8500Wave/Bada). And keep in mind, the N8 is for less then 1 month on the market ! ! !

Firoz, 26 Oct 2010I own a Wave for last 3 months, battery is a little let dow... moreI didn't face any charging issues with my wave and for the low memory alert it is a software related and it's been solved in the latest firmware although it was only an alert that rarely occurs and does not affect the great experience of using the wave.
wave 2 will be introduced to the market only because samsung has a shortage in the super amoled screens supply .

Yeah it's good to have so many people jealous about WAVE. And that's proved that WAVE is out perform compare to others.
User have eye to see what is going on. Even they not coming to GSMArena.com, there is still other place for the to source about WAVE.
So people, don't waste your time to type those non-sense in this forum. And this will populate the WAVE and it forum.
Bada is performing so well in it current state and it App Store. Everyone is awaiting Bada OS 1.2
Bada OS is so popular now. Sooner or later, Samsung will bring their Bada OS to it LCD / LED TV Series.

I own a Wave for last 3 months, battery is a little let down but due to its high specifications, it is best bcoz i have used iphone and it only lasted a day so 2 days on Wave is good. Only problem is the low memory problem alerts and battery heating up while charging. I have checked with the owner of the shop whom i have bought Wave and he told me that people are having major issues with Wave so they have given it to the service centres but due to unavailability of its parts and solutions, Samsung has refunded many Wave owners full amount of their purchase or asked them to buy any other Samsung model.
I think, Samsung will discontinue Wave and will focus on Wave 2. I m good with Wave and will look forward to BADA updates.

I too am a bit disappointed with the wave. I was used from the nokia to have auto screen dining but this model is a irritating pain when it comes to that.i constantly have to change the screen brightnes. Another issue is the place of the sim card. On the N8 one can change it in a flash but with the wave . . . And lastly the Bada OS is indeed a big let down. Not that much in the way it works but in the way how is supported by the programmers. One does not get much software for it :-(
