I have been trying to ... more@ KSR, you may be correct about Samsung discontinuing the Wave in India, but do you really think that Samsung can afford to bring a Bada phone (Wave II) at the same price as the Galaxy S ?
If it was the case, then for the hardware that the S8500 Wave offers, it would've been priced around 24k.
Another thing, if the pricing of Wave II is the same as the Galaxy S, it would be simply destroyed because no buyer would be willing to shell out so much for an infant OS. The most logical choice would be the Galaxy S or the upcoming Milestone 2 because of the proven Android OS.
So, even though the Wave II would be costlier than the S8500 Wave, I dont think it will be more than 22k-23k which will still be 3k-4k cheaper than N8.

1.Unzip the downloaded .rar file(password is samfirmware.com)
2.open extracted folder
3.open Multiloader (Run as administrator if you are using Vista or windows 7)
4.select LSI controll
5.Check Full Download (Do not check Boot Change cause it may gives some serious problem if you didn't flash properly)
6.Click Amss button and select amss.bin file from extracted folder..
7.like this select all files
8.Apps - apps_compressed.bin
9.Rsrc1 - Rsrc_S8500_Open_Europe_Common.rc1
10.Rsrc2 - Rsrc2_S8500_Open_Euro_Common(Low).rc2
11.Factory FS - FactoryFs_S8500_Open_Europe_Common.ffs
12.CSC - CSC_S8500_Open_Europe_Common_OXA_XXJID.csc
13.SHP APP - ShpApp.app
14.Power off your phone(Wave)
15.connect your phone to pc using Usb cable provided with Wave..(Make sure that samsung kies installed on your pc).
16.Press and hold the following kies to anable Download mode
(Down Volume key, Lock button, End key(Power on or off button))
17.Now the phone will turned on with Download Enabled mode.
18.On the pc the driver will installed if it is not already installed.Wait untill it finishes the installation process of Driver
19.Now press "Port Search" button on the Multiloader window
20.then it will show the Ready status if the driver installed properly(means the phone is connected properly)
21.Now press Download Button. It will start the flashing procedure. wait for 20 minutes( Approx)
After completing the flashing process the phone will restarts automatically.
22.Finally Disconnect the Usb cable.

Hi guys, I got my wave S8500 but I cant seem to be able to play the games that come pre-installed except for the Tumbling dice. Another thing is the IM doesnt seem to work when I launch it starts loading but never finishes.
Any help is appreciated

can someone specify the step by step process in upgrading samsung wave firmware? just bought samsung wave a week ago and I really love this phone, very good specs at a very low price. Thank you so much SAMASUNG!!!

in kolkata this phone is available even i'm staying at a village city..but its available it here also....but why not available in delhi or other state dont know...
