guys, does wave support videos with formats like .mpeg, .avi, .mp4 and .flv? im planning to buy this, but i'm quite worried, cause my friend's samsung phone (lower unit) cant read these video formats.. in even if he converts it to .3gp (which is perfect for phone), when the file size is like 15MB it says "not supported file", it can only read .3pg vids with 10MB or lower file size.. so can you help me guys?

BEST fone.. compared it to my iphone 4, just the same,,i wish i had met this great fone b4 i bought my cash sucking iphone4!,, the price is cheaper than that of the iphone... dont waste money for iphone it is overpriced.. try samsung wave ... it will make you feel contented. way to go samsung!! way to go WAVE s8500... :))

One very interesting incident happened last week. i have wave which i have given to my bro. i had purchased it in july @Rs 16400 from sector 18 noida india. on september 01st i went to the same shop to purchase galaxy 3 which is an android phone from where i had purchased my wave, just for the sake of interest i asked him to give a wave @16k, you wont believe, he refused to give a new wave even @ Rs 16400. he said the latest best buy price of wave is 17.2k
any way i purchased galaxy 3 which is also excellent handset.

I have got an Oxford Dictionary+Thesaurus that too a latest version v2.7 (size of the file being around 7.0Mb) with serial keys which works fine with my Samsung Wave. If anybody's interested,post ur e-mail id's mentioning the requirement of the same.

Raj, 09 Sep 2010Disable autocontrast and take pictures on day time,then bot... moreit is disabled.. yeah you're right on daytime the pictures are good ..especially on the superamoled on the wave..but indoors the quality of image are not that great when transfered to pc ..the reason why i noticed this is because i still have my n82 . and i compared them.
i hope the powerful led flash would be fixed on firmware udpates. it's too strong. making macro shots awful and washed out with bright light. the xenon flash is an example wherein it captures the best macro mode.

Anyone can answer me about glossy plastic on wave!? I have the phone and i love it but does your plastic get scratched too? Becouse my phone is new and it already has few scratches. And i can see phones part under the plastic. Thanks

Superb phone, as what its mention here, forget Nokia, dun even think o Iphone4.. they are very much over price.
