    Gags, 05 Sep 2010hi, i didn't understand about the settings you r saying. p... moreand also if you have slow 3G connection and don't have big data plan, I don't recommend you to change the setting.

    For example: I have 50Mbps (wifi) and 7.2 Mbps (HSDPA) and 3GB data, therefore, I don't need to worry about getting charged for excessive bandwidth usage.

      Gags, 05 Sep 2010hi, i didn't understand about the settings you r saying. p... morei am not sure I can put the example here. GSMArena commenting filters out lots of stuffs.

      Example:

      if ( WiFiConnected == '1' )
      {
      format = '3'; // mp4
      }
      else
      {
      format = '1'; // rtsp
      //format = '3'; // mp4 // for temp
      }

      for ( i = 0; i < mediacontent.length; i++ )
      {
      if ( mediacontent[i].getAttribute("yt:format") == format )
      {
      url = mediacontent[i].getAttribute("url");
      widget.youtube.startStreaming( url );
      history.go(-1);
      return;
      }
      }

      There is an html file called youtubestreaming.html in User-->Br-->youtube folder. You can access and edit it by using Stune. I don't want to explain what is Stune here. Try to google it.

      Samsung put a java script condition for youtube, that if wifi is connected it will play good quality (format 3) and if not, it will play low quality youtube video (format 1). If you want a good youtube video playback on HSDPA connection, you have the change the format value to 3 in the java script.

        I think my Wave has a problem? Please help, someone!!

        I think my previous battery is giving me issues as it will go from 100% to 95% while it is idle at night, 9pm-6am. I turned all wireless and bluetooth off and set it to flight mode with brightness set to 1. BTW, there is no SIM card in the phone. Also, location services for GPS has been disabled and wallpaper set to blank.

        I replaced the battery with a new one i bought from Samsung, charge it to 100%, then leave it idle overnight and then the same thing happens, 100% batt life to 95% in the morning!

        And after playing music for about 45mins, the batt drops to 89%!!!

        Do you think my Wave has a problem? I tried the forum tweak where it says AP UART must be enabled. Done that, but the batt problem still persists!!!

        Help me kind souls of GSMArena.com.

              graff, 05 Sep 2010which is a better phone? samsung wave s8500 or the satio? ... moreFurthermore, Satio has;

              1.) All plastic body
              2.) not empressive viewing angle
              3.) Not good under direct sunlight
              4.) No 3.5mm Audio Jack(a big sin on SE)

              Original SE fan can accept all of these disadvantages.

                Nick2, 05 Sep 2010Thanks Galaxius for your viewpoints, appreciated it. I e... moreThanks Nick. I think this fone deserves this results. I still gave it a 10. The issues u mentioned of is current on some other smart fones as well. So ur not the only one. Dnt feel lonely. LOL. I suggest u do e good hard reset and set up ur fone again. As for the battery where u said it does drain so quick sometimes, It could be some apps running in the background,also the 3g could be just looking for signal if ur in a low signal area. There are few reasons for this. Also I suggest for anyone who has problems with their fones, contact your manufacturer and support. If the person u contacted that day wasnt helpful, try another day,someone else might be more helpful. Its not allways the service and support fault. It could be some ididots working for them just ruin the service provide by those manufacturers. And last resort look for help in the forums. Cheers.

                      graff, 05 Sep 2010which is a better phone? samsung wave s8500 or the satio? ... moreyou can conclude the answer to that question by considering the following:

                      satio:

                      older
                      tft screen
                      less storage
                      less ram
                      bluetooth 2
                      slower processor
                      symbian OS (this is a bad point believe me)
                      lower battery capacity
                      hiogher SAR value

                      and on top of all that, more expensive!

                      it is only superior to the wave in the camera resolution (12 mpix vs 5 mpix)

                        graff, 05 Sep 2010which is a better phone? samsung wave s8500 or the satio? ... moreWhich phone is better? This question always depends on your need. If you want a great camera, beautiful design, Symbian and obviously a Sony then go for it. Now if you want a snappy 1GHz CPU, Super AMOLED screen, New but very fluid 'bada' OS, then go for Wave. Both devices are great anyway.
                        Regards.

                            I have a question. I've heard that the screen is scratch-resistant and there is no need to use a cover like omnia or htc on the screen inorder to protect it. is it true? and how much can we count on it?
