Hi Wavers, please help me in Navigation issue. Yesterday, I bought new wave from Bangalore India. Also, downloaded india maps from route 66 web site by syncing. I am able to get my position locked & it shows where exactly i am. But, when i chose to navigate to other location. It is not going through. Please help me. - Regards, Sachin

The battery's fine with me, but some wave users posted about their batteries lasting 4 to 5 days. Are we using different batteries?

Ak, 30 Aug 2010I am not running any application in background.. I dont hav... moreI suggest that you go ahead with the battery change. I generally see a 3 - 4 % drop in charge overnight, with no battery draining applications running, WiFi off, BLuetooth Off, GPS off.
Once you get the new battery, please start conditioning it. I conditioned almost all the rechargable batteries that I have used and they have generally given good life.

Please read the packaging, if you are buying a SanDisk one, it would be very clearly mentioned on the packaging. SanDisk is a bit costly than others, but I would suggest you go for that, for it also seems to be of a higher quality

Well, I really cannot comment on the Windows 7 part, for I use Windows XP based laptop or a Vista based laptop. But I faintly recall New Waver or some one else mentioning that they used Windows 7 based Laptop / Netbook.
So I do no see that as an issue.

On Saturday when in the morning i took the mobile out of charging at around 8AM, did nothing with it except a song, read 2-3 msgs & just 2calls, guess what, till 11AM the battery meter was at 86% which is very bad.
Even today its the same, the battery level is at 81% after a bit of usage, i was just playing with widgets for some 25min & nothing else.
To conclude, atleast for now with limited usage, my battery does just stands for 2days.
And before i did disabled CP UART mode but again on saturday i enable it again as even though it saves battery life should not be at the cost of performance.
Also i wanted to ask something, whenever i use few games like Sliding leaf or some other light applications it asks me to close the network widgets & after sometime it closes it automatically, i mean with such a good ram & Processor why does it gives me that notification, is Wave not capable of handling appli's like Sliding Leaf?

Ya, I feel the same as you. At beginning ... moreHey i have windows 7 64 bit and KIES works like a dream and the firmware upgrade also works perfect on the windows 7X64. A question for everyone ve found that the S8500XXJH3 has been released and it says it is bada 1.0.2 with a lot of fixes.

Also the only problem i faced in windows 7 64bit is that I cannot get the samsung kies recovery mode to work I wish to upgrade to JH 3 new waver please help!!!!!!

To all,
Before you attempt to update your firmware, make sure you have the right version and it's a full firmware. Example, my previous was S8500ZSJF7 so I update it with S8500ZSJG1 the *****ZS*** is the regional language of your phone. If you do not follow this, some of your apps won't fully function. This firmware go with region where you bought your phone or where it was sold. Do not ask me, I still do not know why I have Hong Kong version.
For Skies to work on Windows 7 x64 (bits), you have to install a patch from Microsoft.
I never use Skies to update my firmware so I cannot confirm it will work, it might just brick your phone.

Ya, I feel the same as you. At beginning I thought how come it's not overexpose when taking photo after updated to JH1 o_O" The overexpose issue only happen when the we shot object in close range using flash. In normal condition / situation it seems like Samsung has solved some of the overexpose issue.
Another thing I wonder that some people confirmed that firmware update is not supported in Windows 7 64bit, because I'm not using any Windows 7 so I was not able to test it out.
But I was planning to get a new PC soon. So I might using new Windows 7 64bit. So can you or "New waver" or some body confirm this problem ?? I really need the answer.

About the memory card. Class 4 is minimum, Class 6 is recommended. The higher the class is the faster the speed you can enjoy.
