All I can say is that if you can live with having lesser apps for some time, then this phone should suit you.
HT Desire is also a good phone, but it doesnot have a Super AMOLED display, it has an AMOLED display. But it runs Android 2.1, plenty of Apps out there in Android Market.

Hi, i bought this phone today from Bangalore National market for Rs 17000. Original sw was JF2 & upgraded to JH1 by using Kies software on my lap top (using window 7). Also, downloaded India map from Route 66 software. First, maps got downloaded on PC & then showed copied to phone (not sure, in which location is got saved both on PC & phone). This is my first smart phone, so i will not able to tell whether it is better or bad than other smart phone in market. Tomorrow, i will try to link my company emails on this phone.

Hello everyone,
I have like 70 songs in my phone. When I am playing music, the phone gets a bit laggy. Even the CDs-view in the music player gets laggy with lots of images of music files.
Is this normal??

Just bought a samsung wave last week. Now having some screen issues. The screen shows some flickering lines when checking balance e.g. *123# on airtel. does anybody else have this prob. grossly cant see lines on static images .

Great Phone......but I have only one little problem.....I cannot connect via WI-FI.....When I try to connect it says thah I am connected,but when I open any web site it says DNS ERROR....Can you help me ?

A few questions here if ... more1.no probs even i am using windows 7 64 bit only
2.video quality is mindblowing in both day and night....but pictures has to to be a little bit sharp..
3.try some phones in Htc (desire and hero)
4.loud speaker good but not great.May be 80% of 5800..sry i haven't used ipod touch..
5.no microsoft office for now..
6.battery life is great..1 and half days for normal usage..

A few questions here if you guys dont mind
1. I have a Windows 7 64 bit. Is there any problem i might expect? like kies compatibility (although i dont want another 3rd party apps on my PC), phone cannot be detected etc etc
2. How's the wave's picture quality and video quality at night? on the 5 megapixel camera category is it below, above or average at best? i cant find on the net about its picture quality at night time (pictures taken ac etc)
3. Whats the direct competitor for this phone? i want to look for a cheaper alternative.(im looking at samsung jet but the OS a bit laggy)
4. does it have a microsoft excel viewer/editor?
5. Sound Quality.. how does it compare to ipod touch?
6. Battery life (compared to other smartphone of this caliber)
