KAL, 22 Aug 2010Your question been answered several times in this forum. Pl... moreWhere'd you get your Google maps app? I downloaded one that worked but it's kinda crappy since it doesn't work with the dragging pinching Etc. Only way to navigate the app is with the buttons.
I'm also disappointed that this phone has no voice controls. Android 2.2 is getting voice controls.
I am looking forward to Swype, hopefully that pushes through.
Are there nonstandard web browsers available that have full flash functionality?

galaxy s has same settings ... moreLove to read your review about Galaxy Wave.Never hv it in my test hand b4..I chuse wave becoz its slim cool desine with flash led,and i determind dont pick the galaxy back then,Some friend keep bullying me about his galaxy is much more better then mine,and bla bla braging about it.And he to lazy to do his specs and reseurch b4 buying,unlike me I hv read up so many smartphone here and their and the wave is my result of choice
Almost makes me wonder to my wonderes self did i pick the right samsung.
Boy oh boy I love it up and till now What a wave

The very first time I have been concentrating a single mobile phone now that I have Samsung Wave.

I should also mention i struggled with java on galaxy s i got opera 5 dowloaded using some java 2me download then all went wrong..apps sat in background downloading and gmail would not sync and more...I did a total reset and seemed well but NO jave apps will install and dolphin browser refuses certain web pages which i cant mention on gsm.
Also lastly i think ,,no flash or video light on SGS which i did use on wave...
Conclusion >> for me the wave wins but as i said thats me ,the SGS is a top smartfone and advertised all time here in uk saying its our best Androind yet...That maybe but i still find android allover place with diff versions, diff firmwares, devices. specs and app availabilty not on every device,,brynn

P.S yes we can use Google maps stand alone application on wave.

galaxy s has same settings ie concert hall ,but from testing the 2 the wave is much more better at my type of music which is dance/trance/rave all nightclub stuff...every samsung hanset ive had have superb dynamic sounds BUT as i have now got nokia n91 then that fone is tops but no surroud nightclub spacial sound..gsmarenas charts show how good performance is from sammy handsets..mind you that can still mean nothing unless you use decent headset,,i have cx300..i am selling galaxy s to go back to wave which should be here wednesday..
Things ive noted about galaxy;;
poor battery,
hd recording is .3gp and not crisp quality .mp4,felt sick when i found out but suspected right away after watching it back then checked using properties and it was .3gp ;
speaker not as loud;
plastic back gets filthy
Android is all over the place to me;
its easy to drop,5 times so far onto carpet but it needs a silicone case and this makes it harder to put in jeans pocket..
Now that my input ,,people may love android and dont need video record or massive battery life..but i prefer wave and its more fone sized..Brynn

New Wave User, 21 Aug 2010Just bought the new Wave...thought of giving Bada OS a try.... moreMaybe you record your phonebook to SIM, and 200 is limit...
Choose in contacts your default memory PHONE!
If you still have problem, go to outlook and copy your contacts to outlook and synchronise with samsung Kies...
