My wife got me my wave as a second phone on her contract and i love it even more so since i debranded it from my network . i have to keep a tight hold because my wife keeps threatening to swap it for her iphone..... not happening no way fantastic phone......can't find fault with it. Saurav, 18 Aug 2010Well I did a hard reset already, and my internet connection... moreHm.. that's strange. Hard reset should have fixed it. By the way, when I updated my firmware to JF8 and did a hard reset, I no longer had to update Samsung Apps. This may work for you too.
Be careful updating your firmware though. It is better you do a clean install of latest Kies software. After I bricked my phone on win7 x64 I had to put Kies.exe in compatibility mode to recover my Wave. It worked after a clean install with new version of Kies. So be careful ;)

You could try a hard reset if nothing else works. It will delete ALL your data on the phone memory. You can leave the SIM and microSDHC inside. Make sure you have enough battery power. Type *2767*3855# in the keypad. It shouldn't take more than 5 minutes.

Other than the small number of applications for Bada OS (currently 600+), this is the best phone on the market right now. However there are already a few fun and useful applications including famous game titles. Bada does better than I thought when I considered buying this phone.

No. you dont need to format it for a FW upgrade.
You can very well use the music launcher from the main screen.
1.) Press the menu key
2.) You can drag any of the 3 shortcuts on the lower bar (Where you see your messages,contacts, and keypad) off that bar and then drag the music icon onto it.
I personally, have put a keypad widget on my screen. That allowed me to replace the keypad on the lower bar with the music icon and still not miss the keypad. :)

deposited the phn at the service centre, some software problem they say..will have to install the os once more!! wish no one faces the same prblem.

mnk, 18 Aug 2010i had the same problem and was advised to stop antivirus an... moreDude, apparently you can't tether either 3G or GPRS date from the profile that you use to browse the internet from phone. There has to be a different profile that you use to connect your PC/Lappy to internet. Try using that, it worked for me, but I dont use it because it's very expensive and I have unlimited data plan available for mobile browsing alone. However, I use a proxy to connect my PC to internet but it refuses to work when I enable tethering. Hope it helps. SAME GOES FOR YOUTUBE TOO. There are streaming settings which are different from mobile browsing settings.

Performance is similar and I find no lag. However, i found the game similar too! No difference at all!
