@John I bought Samsung wave 4 days ago, the shopkeeper who sold me told me to let the battery drain first and charge it for 8 hrs and then use it till the battery drains and charge it again for 8 hours and repeat it for the third time.
The 1ST TIME I charged the BATTERY LEVEL WAS 25-29% and CHARGED IT FOR 9 HRS.
I thought the shopkeeper was exaggerating about charging 8 hrs for 3 times, so the 2ND TIME when I charged the BATTERY was when it was at less than 10 % and REMOVED THE CHARGER AS SOON AS IT GOT CHARGED TOOK AROUND 2 HRS AND 40 MINS TO CHARGE, then I used 2 hrs video, 5 hrs internet and it lasted one day.
So I thought what the shopkeeper told was right and charged it for 8 HRS FOR THE 3RD TIME. When I called Samsung customer care they said charge it FIRST TIME FOR 8 HRS ONLY ONCE and next time onwards remove the charge when the battery full icon is displayed.
HAS MY BATTERY AFFECTED BADLY. Please reply. There was no instruction in the manual as to how many hrs to charge initially or follow a specific charge cycle, just said remove the charge when the battery is full.
Will I get good battery life if I follow your advice? Thanks in advance.

kal, 28 Jul 2010try googling ( Now I do not remember from where I downloade... morego to m.google.com from your cell browser and download google maps....

plse send details
what fi... moretry googling ( Now I do not remember from where I downloaded it) for Google maps version 3.0.2 and download those files to PC. There should be 2 files after unzipping. one is .jar and other is .jad. Now put those 2 files to mobile using data cable.
Now by phone install it by using .jad file.
After installing, you can access software at 'Games and App' section on the third page of menu

The wave is amazing, not had samsung in years and not really a samsung fan but this one is 10/10 nothing left to say just a great phone

thanks to u all, my mm... moretry doing this: goto settings > connectivity > USB and select Samsung Kies and then connect it to your pc.
Open Kies and now try to install your apps.

a, 28 Jul 2010john which FW u are having, i am having jf2 the phone get... moreAfter 5 days and 20 min I still have 7% battery as of now.So Try what ever I have told u earlier.It should work.When I Bought this phone initially it will last only for 1.5 days. I have noted all the cycles in notepad like which cycle when i started to charge,when it completed charging and how long it lasts. every time it has improved and now my battery is perfectly conditioned.

No problem if it is 5%.Start charging ur phone to 100%.
Then allow it to drain again 5% is Ok. Repeat this for min 8 cycles.u should have patience initially to do all these.DO NOT CHARGE IN BETWEEN. Use only wall charger for all these cycles.NEVER EVER OVER CHARGE.It should take around 3 hours of charging in full.Even slightly on the higher side dont worry.Have Patience.Try I think it should work.
