[deleted post]not really. beacuse i live for my samsung wave. killing me with your n8 wont do. because that phone is just made from symbian s60v3's vomitus. thinking n8 is symbian makes me puke.

This phone is BRILLIANT!! I've been using the phone for a week now and i LOVE every single detail of it. Excellent display, smooth and not forgetting very very comfortable to hold. The phone is really slim and for an intermediate user like me, where no. of apps is not a major problem, I would rate this phone 10/10.

Dear friends,
I would like to ask for your help for I am obviously ignorant. I do not know how to install Opera mini properly. I put it in my "Other" (My Files) folder now. I can install it and it works, but cannot find it on the phone later. So every time i want to use it, i have to install it again. I would kindly ask for your assistancw.
BTW, this is a lovely phone and has the potential to be even better (there are some glitches yet).

[deleted post]the software called KIES is OUR problem. you dont have to bother. but it a good software though it has all the utilities that a samsung wave owner would use from apss downloading, editing pics, videos, messages, contacts. tethering.
ovi for nokia in the other hand syncs well on my nokia n97. but i dont use it much because its pretty much USELESS.

btw. if it did happen symbian 3 on the wave. it would still do great. having super amoled and a great hardware design. nokia is preety much old school. nothing new. no innovations. added hdmi? ok thats fine but seeing symbian 3 on a big screen? that would be a nightmare!

Let us take ur wave n a fon with that equal hardware of ur wave but with S^3 OS installed, and then compare their perfomances. What would u dogs say with that. Put ur wave on ur forehead ,get a huge hammer n destroy it. If u r hurt then thats ur fault that u bought it.

nokia is not pretty much happy with symbian as evidenced by the news on symbian 4. why would one waste time doing symbian 3? sucks! anyways i can foretell symbyan 4 is another symbian 3 but with a new theme. funny nokia.
they pretty much want to cancel n8 and n9 but they would not. it a shame. it beacuse thet they think no profit will come to nokia this year. so they made symbian 3 a hype, an os that is only a draft, roughly done just made with the same codes as of symbian s60v5. added some junk features made it beautiful which is really really ugly.
nokia is just a company trying to get profits as much as they can, releasing high quality products is not their primary concern. like what theing goes "theres money on trash".

And Wave is NOT a java phone. It's uses the Linux kernel while Meego is Linux-based. So, both phones utilizes Linux.

Truth to be told, I like N8 with it's 12 mp camera and Xenon and the work Nokia have done to S^3. But Wave's 1ghz and S-Amoled display, and it's very attractive price, I can't say no to that.
But if N8's price is the same as that of Wave when it comes out, I might choose N8.

Hey you all waves fans, its nothing in front of our nokia n8. What is bada. Nothing in front of symbian. Even slow but thousands of free applications are there. Whats 5 mp camera in front of 12mp camera with xenon flash and carl ziess optics. Nothing. There is 16 gb internal memory,32 gb expandable, usb on the go. U talk of wave. Even iphone4 cant stand in front of n8. Anybody having wave with internal video graphic card accelarator which in n8. U talk of n8. See n900. The wave is nothing now in front of maemo. So kids, be happy with ur java phone bada bada wave n don't talk without clues about n8 or any other nokia. Just super amoled don't make it best. Its features which make it best. Hope u learn now.

Hi guys,
I see there is someone here that is having problems with the screen. I can confirm those thin lines, but they are like inside the touch screen (they definetely aren't dead pixels). They are more visible in natural or yellow light (not fluorescent), and if the background is grey-dark grey. Also, if you slowly move a grey picture to the left or to the right of the screen you can see that the lines stay where they are. Maybe this is what super amoled is supposed to be? They are not bothering, but looking back to my other LCD phones i have it's kinda sad to see that those are not experiencing this. Some of my friends say that it must be the technology behind this super amoled screen, but I refuse to believe so...
