I just managed to install android on wave . i used this guide http://archiverabhinav.blogspot.com/2011/06/dual-boot-android-on-samsung-wave.html . works fine with only few minor lags.

Hello.I have a problem with my s8500 wave.When I connect it to a computer with it's data cable, in any mode, it always sets to charge phone, I can not transfer files or enter in Samsung Kies.Please help me.Thank you very much!

Anybody know how to stop the annoying balance notification tone??
I am on Bada 1.2
before the update only notification was coming but 1.2 brought extra tone for it.
Its annoying while sending group SMS.

its really iritating...the shutter still not working...any idea guys how to fix it...by the way ..for who have shutter problem..do u have the apps called wamo camera in your phone??the latest version?i gues this causes the bug??

hi guys how do i change from line 1 to line 2 in this unit? how do i disable line 2 if i no longer need it.
I ask this because i want to remove '1' from my screen (beside the sound icon) as seen is the screenshot below.

Wave S8500 has been the star performer for samsung bada platform ..... i hope samsung comes up with Angry Birds, Talking larry kind of apps for its BADA OS, I also heard about a group making significant achievement in installing Andriod on S8500, Looking forward to see gr8 changes for S8500 ....... Cmon SAMSUNG !!!

Akshath, 14 Jun 2011Hi, can we upgrade android on bada wave 2 mobile... Dude, u shouldn't say it as "upgrade to Android".. UPGRADE is the word meant for update for the same OS with a new version. And Wave/Wave 2 does not contain Android. It has the so called BADA OS. So, u call it as "Porting Android to Wave 2". And, officially u can't get Android on Wave 2.
But guys at XDA forums are successful in porting Android 2.2 to Wave 1 (not to Wave 2 yet). That is unstable at the moment. But given the pace at which they have been working, I can say an usable port would be available in an another 2 months (with almost all the android and mobile functions working). And for Wave 2 it would take a little more time. But again Wave/Wave 2 were not designed to run Android. So no port will be 100% successful and the performance would generally be not up to the mark. And such ports are bound to be with hell number of bugs.
So if u are planning to buy Wave 2 and get Android on to it.. I recommend don't do it. Get an Android device. If you have Wave/Wave 2 already wait for some more time (may be 3 months) to get Android on it.

Seriously, bang/bump the bottom of the phone against your palm. Just put a little pressure when you do it. Worked for me. :-)

... morebetter u hard reset ur wave! a hard reset takes it back to the condition U got it out of the box. Backup ur data before hard reset. Copy ur phonebook with Kies 1st. It'll backup all your contacts, & then it is easy to transfer them back. to hard reset ur phone do the following...
1. Turn off the phone
2. Take the SIM-card out
3. Turn the phone on again
4. Write *2767*3855#
5. Afterwards this process, which can take a while, things should be back to factory reset (You will get back Asphalt if that was on the phone from start etc.)
6. Put in the SIM-card again
7. DONE
