Dr spk, 20 Feb 2011Hi guys, after 1 week of using wave II my impressions of it... moremy opinion:
Excellent: built quality, cam, vdo cam, screen, touch sensitivity, processor speed, telephony, call voice clarity, onscreen QWERTY keypad, Teethereing, Facebook sync, video playback
Good: Screen contrast, outdoor visibility, browser (though it lacks download-pause button), Earphone music quality, Battery life (dont frget its a smartphone, not a lame symbian 60 series fone), WiFi support, inbuilt Facebook app
AVG: loudspeaker quality, document viewer, app support
Poor: GPS

Bangalore, 20 Feb 2011Hi Guys.... The Samsung Navigation(LBS) does not work o... moreset it up correctly....even mine used to show NewDelhi...thou I am in Pune!!! later it went off :) ...now nt an issue anymore fr me...

d, 20 Feb 2011my wave shows that maximum text message storage is 1300 onl... moreif it gwts full..u can create backup..to ur phone memory or card memory

1st; can Bada OS 1.2 be upgraded to ... more1. No one knows exactly. However reports say YES it is :) ...may be we need to wait fr a few days/months fr that...but certainly before 2nd half of 2011.
However reports say WAVE I or WAVE 8500 will be restricted to BADA 1.2 only

Either put the no. desired to be blocked in that list....for SMS or for CALL or for both....the blocked caller will feel that as if u have cut the call instantly....and the SMS wont pop-up in the inbox rather will be stored in SPAMBOX......if u put UNKNOWN in the block list then all the nos. except the ones in ur contacts will be blocked.
There is a catch...i efound that no. blocking works only when u put the no. in +91..... form.
But...this functionality is quite oldin market....even good old Symbian S40 provides it in some of the Nokia phones.....its present in most of the low end Samsungs as well.

Hello Amith, Finally got the phone last Saturday and its amazingly great (got no words but it’s a real worth phone for its price). Question for you – I saw an option where it allows me to block calls and/or messages from a particular number/contact, previously I had called my network provider to check If they had any such option as my previous Samsung windows phone did not had any (or may be I was never aware that a handset can block one particular called or message). Just want to reconfirm if this is option is functional. Thankz in advance

Guys I want to ask something I bought Wave II last 01/22/2011 and by 02/19/2011 I returned it to Samsung Service Center MOA Philippines and they ask me to let them check the unit so i gave it to them and instructed me to call after 3 days then I call and they said it was motherboard issues so again i ask when will i get my phone the representative reply no parts yet so i have to wait. I haven't used it for a month do u think i should ask for replacement (since not been used for a month) or should i wait them for repair i think it should not take too long for them to repair since its a newly release phone so parts would not be take too long to get. Thank you so much guys.

I am a 3 weeks old user of SAMSUNG WAVE S8530 handset. I am having the following 3 queries. Please do help me out kindly.
1) settings >> memory >> memory status >> messages >> text messages >> phone 1300
Is it the maximum numbers of text messages I can save in my wave & if so is there anyways to increase the capacity??
2) After installing some 10-15 samsung apps in my wave it shows as following :
setting >> memory >> memory status >> common memory >> available 345,696K
what is the meaning of that & would not I be able to install anymore apps once that available memory is full (I am using 8GB external memory)??
3) My sent text messages seems to be automatically deleting after every 3-4 days. what may be the reason?? Eventhough I am not activating Auto delete option.

hi everybody i've purchased bada on this month ie., Feb 1st of 2011. from initially im not getting gud battery backup and not even talktime for over 2 hrs.
im getting very poor battery performance and over heat body while i chat for over 15 mins. so i need remedy for the above said reasons and i opine to others for to purchase this mobile, but make sure the guarantee by the sellers to be exact
