You are right that early phone had good music capabilities
But what to do because in case of smartphones main emphasis is given on apps and os
And you can see 1-2 years back almost all good phones were having stereo speakers but now a days no smartphone is offering stereospeakers
Reason behind this is ,3d or stereospeakers increase the weight of phone by 20-30 gms which smartphones cannot afford as you can see wave weights 135 gms and 3d would have been made it 160 gms

                          3G issues in TATA-DOCOMO network:

guys anyone used 3G in TataDocomo network by the WAVE II ??

I am facing problem accessing 3G data.

Is there any separate setting (like GPRS setting) to access 3G data in DOCOMO network?

Or do I need to select/disselect any particular settiing in my WAVE II CONNECTION SETTINGS?

Whenevr I am trying to access internet...all I am getting is GPRS data at GPRS speed!!

sachin, 02 Feb 2011hi maverick, All your queries have been well explained but... moreBuddy...I dont think WAVEII has DNSe...its nowhere mentioned so as well...also I had a DNSe Samsung mob earlier...the earphone Sound quality was much better in that....Also if WAVEII have had DNSe then the '3D SURROUND' mode wont be absent from the music settings.

I hope Samsung would include it through their firmware update.

Do any technical expert of this phone know,

how to remove sim logo or sound logo from main screen which is seen along battery bar etc.?

2- is it possible to remove widget . . . . . . from main screen so that it appears neat and clean ?

                                many thanks in advance.

AnonD-569, 02 Feb 2011Thanks sachin for your reply. Well i am new to both androi... morehmmmm....

See both bada and android are good os the only difference is that android is old os and has many apps but bada is new os so it has less apps
For eg:you have to install dictionary in your phone then if you go to android market you will find different variants but in bada you will get one or two dictionaries but they will satisfy your need

Except apps i think both are equal in stability and all other things

Note:in defy you will be having android 2.2 and remember it will not be upgraded to 2.3 and also if you go and buy defy you will get android 2.1 which will be upgraded to android 2.2 in 2nd or 3rd Q
But in wave you will be having bada 1.2 which will get upgrade of bada 2.0(although i do not have any hard proof but i have seen many statements by samsung officials that wave will get an upgrade on twitter, fb etc)
This is the reason why i preffered wave over defy
Also one more imp thing is that bada has around 4000 apps and android has 1lakh but there are 5-6 version of android so you can guess how many apps will work on android 2.2 ,it is basically a case of fragmentation which happens with almost every os but there is no such case in bada

So if you are a moderate user of apps then go for wave and if apps are such imp for you then buy defy

And camera of both are same but defy has the same tft screen while in wave it is slcd.

Wave has 1ghz processor and defy has 800 mhz and defy lags at some point while using defy

Wave has mettalic body and defy has plastic body but defy is water resistant and dust proof

Wave got tv out also if some one tell you that web browser in wave is not good so believe him/her but there is opera mini browser for wave so just chill web browsing is good in wave and all my frnds which are having android or bada or symbian all are using opera so its not an issue

in defy Touch sensitive keys do not work when phone is locked

So just look at what you need and i'll say wave will not disappoint you but defy android 2.2 will get old in one year as of now android 2.3 is released and all upcoming phones will be having it but not defy
                                  Rest you decide
                                  Enjoy

Hey guys, I'm about to get the Wave II although Galaxy Ace has been some kind of an alternative since I use Spotify & like to choose my web browser (the Adroid way).

Besides the lack of those possibilities in Wave II is there something else I'd need to know before purchasing it? I am afraid that Samsung despite all the talk will not continue to support Bada and especially Wave S8500 and Wave II S8530. I'm not sure if that's something to be worried about or not.

                                    Whaddaya think?
