well if u ask me Android is gr8....but defy doesnt hav a secondry camera....
n motorola sucks in bringin up d updates....its still runin on Android 2.1(Eclair)

Do it have an pedometer ? If yes, is it possible to have it on in a background mode, so I do not have to stop it when getting a call or checking the mail.

Well i am new to both android n bada as i am using nokia now n planning to shift from that.

It would be helpful if you could explain some major features for both these OS.

About bada i would also like to know whether wave II would be upgradable to bada 2.2, etc in future?

I need camera clarity too, does defy have nice camera?

Overall which is better of the two? Also which one is money's worth?

I stay in delhi and would also like to know whether samsung is having some invoice(bill)problem? Some dealer told me that i should have bla bla details in my invoice then only samsung will provide service in case of any problem in phone. I feel that dealer is not right. Do you have any idea about this?

sachin, 02 Feb 2011hi maverick, All your queries have been well explained but... morebuddy...I dont think WAVE II has DNSe...nowhere its mentioned..not even in the package...also by my personal experience..the SAMSUNGs which have DNSe sounds better than WAVE II

fellow Wave-2 users,

While trying to watch videos through you tube application on gprs, it says try again but when i do the same on wifi, i works fine.
what needs to be done guys?
also, speed on wi fi is not that blazing fast as one would expect.
experienced ones, please throw lite

All your queries have been well explained but still giving you idea about phones in range of 18 k

There are 3 phones mainly wave ,c7 and defy
Forget c7 we will talk about wave and defy
1. See call clarity is good in most smartphones besides in wave you will get a benifit of a good SAR value (specific absorption rate) ,it is a health standard and some limits are there and phone with lower sar is considered good and remember almost all motorola phones have high sar values

2. Gps support -yes it will cost you and if you don't want to buy it get it from some other sites like mobile9 etc (i don't know much about gps because i don't need much) but in defy you will get it

3.yes you can install apps to sd card and also save msgs but in defy you have to wait for its upgrade to 2.2 to install apps in sd card

4.No it doesn't get heated up but if you have experienced some sort of problem in your frnd phone then just ask him to check it out at samsung care

5.good music in earphones but music through loud speaker is average and to be true defy has a good loudspeakes but yes in case of earphones i guess wave is ahead due to dnse

Screen gaurd will not affect touch senstivity and if it will,then also you will not able to determine noticiable difference in it

Besides all these things you will get tv out,good processor,good screen etc

And if you need android then better buy defy because sar is not such a big issue

Rest you decide which phone to buy

2. Voice guidance and 3D guidance are the ones which are limited to trial...the other GPS stuffs(including the basic map and navigation) is lifetime free.

3.Yes..u can install to Memory Card..same for texts as well

4. No...i didnt face any heatup problem ever in my handset

5. Call clarity is excellent in earphones too.
Music clarity I didnt find so impressive (aktough people are praising it here leaps n bounds)...it fall behind the Samsung handsets which have DNSe Engine....earlier I had one such Samsung...sound quality was better in that (thou that cost just Rs4000/- )....there is a clear absence of top quality Stereo-Crosstalk (I hope u understanding this)..also the absence of 3D surround mode.....all these might be due to the quality of the bundles earphones....still..still...the sound quality through the earphones is better than most of the handsets..specially way better than NOKIA ones.

6. Screen Guard wont affect the touch response.

I am not sachin but can answer your questions...

To your first question: yeah samsung wave has that problem of gps, the route66 (GPS app for Samsung Wave) is only valid for 30 days and after that you need to purchase the full version of route66.

To your 2nd question: You can install apps directly to your SD Card as you can't in Android.

To your 3rd Question: There is no problem of getting heated in Samsung wave, normally it heated lil bit but that's normal.

To you 4th Question: Call clarity and music clarity both are very good. No doubt, Samsung Wave is the best available phone on market in multimedia aspects. Also, there is a nice sound in headphones.

hi,

I bought samsung wave last month..
can ne one tell me if MS office can be uploaded in it?
At present i cn just trasfer the MS files into the phone and view it and not abe to edit it though..
please let me know if i edit MS office files in wave 2.which application needs to be installed ?
