i find the use of S-LCD and a 0.4" increase on screen size doesn't justify the price increase of more than 100 Euros when you get the same specs inside and not even a BT v4.0? (i know it's a longshot for the BT v4.0 but hey, screen size and S-LCD only?) I sure am a big fan of the 1st wave and was surprised about the announcement of the WAVE II, but when I checked the specs and price range...I kinda got a bit disappointed.

Wave II? Hell this is barely a ripple! 3 words for you Samsung:
          1) Uninspiring
          2) Uninnovative
          3) BORING!

All thats different from the original Wave is the screen size and what more the use of S-LCD which is such a downgrade from Super Amoled.

Back to the drawing board, guys!

Wow, i'm really interested in the wave series and it's bada OS. But i wonder why they use s-lcd in here. Is the official pic has a black or gray background? If its black then it's not as cool as samoled. I didn't bought s8500 wave cause of 3.3 screen with high resolution. I thought it isn't functional. But they come up with another wave yet it has s-lcd, hope it is good too, i like the 3.7 size though.

More wave soon please. I really believe wave series can win me completely when the right device comes

cheers! Till then, hope bada will continously grow so that it's more mature the time i switch boat.

Samsung is really leapfrogging ahead of competition and impressively. No shoddy workmanship, no shoddy specifications and actually top of line specifications with no PREMIUM attached unlike NOKIA, HTC and SONY ERICSSON who charge premium for same feature may be due to their brand name or they pay higher salaries to their employees.

I don't think there is anything left out from this device since screen has grown to a quickly standardising 3.7 inch , has all format playing capability etc. I can think of only two things that SAMSUNG needs to work on or include in their BADA devices
              a. TEXT AUTOFLOW/AUTOADJUST - I dont know whether this right term but I used WAVE and I was shocked to see that whenever you are browsing and you try to read something you have to scroll up-down as well as left-right which is painful. If it adjusts text like ANDROID nothing like it

              b. higher resolution-though screen resolution is good enough but a little higher resolution will make things crispier - may be 540 x 880..

              c. a nice 5 row physic qwerty like EPIC 4G would heat up the segment unprecedently and create entry barriers for low quality competitors

I think the only reason they are launching this is because they are running out of super amoleds. But instead of launching a new phone every week, they should bring out a major update for bada os which it desperately needs and more importantly BRING MORE APPS!

                        They use S-LCD instead

This wont be so expensive at launch.
Samsung is trying to make its BADA OS more popular, and will keep the price low as it did with Wave.
the screen should be a little wider as the resolution is same and length has increased.
Typing will be much easier now !!!
The screen should not be a dampener. I am sure samsung will do a good job like the recent iPhone 4 and Htc Desire did with LCD

I'm glad they got rid of that awful diamond look in between the call send and end buttons.

I hope this is a little wider and not as long as the first wave.To me it would look better.
