bada doesnt suck on the software part
its fast, smooth, perfectly stable as an ios
the number of apps is its only weakness atm
but people seem to forget
its a young O.S. with a father who's favorite at the moment is a robot(android)
I mean bada O.S. is faring well compared to some such as meego(younger O.S. abandoned by the parents) and wp7(strict parents) and symbian(reunited with the parents) so far

I have many apps for bada on samsungapps, and I didn't need to pay anything. Certification/sellers fee is free, promotion is free, you can sell your apps for free and certification is really one of the best. That's why you see so many themes, because everyone can create it and sell it without any expenses. In certification they reject every app if it has even minor bug and many developers are running away if they can not fix bugs.
Overall: Phone is superb and performs much smother than any android and I have owned many of top class android phones and I will never go back again.
Bada is solid and IMO right behind ios, also Wave phones are build like master pieces with good materials and unique and beautiful design.
Only thing missing on bada is apps, and developers are working hard to change that.

yes agree with you,and half of app store is fulled with theme ,people never download themes, and they don't give trial version of good hd games so people cannot test hd gaming performance of wave2 who has not credit card,90% of us don't have credit card,you can see comment of asphalt5 game.people are waiting for phone bill or dibit card

As a software developer I quit developing games for bada. They ask $29 per review. First they ask to change the layout from Y to X so you do that. Than they say, no it should have been Y. The same app has not over 3.000.0000 downloads on Android Market. So now you know how the app store of bada got so small.

How many bada phones have you used cos I am using the 1st wave and its a good phone. You need to know that all phones as far as I'm concern have their issue, so if this seems better than the platform you are rooting for suck it up and live with it.

lol, some people here are really funny. There is a reason samsung creates galaxy series and wave series. So, to hope that the next samsung wave phone to run android is pretty stupid if you ask me..

wave has only advanced in hardware part, else it's software sucks. no apps are supported. in comparision to android bada is nothing. so my advice to all those who wish to buy wave phones - plz do not buy this else you'll regret

and the most recent releases from sony ericsson and most of nokia's new one except n9 all have camera keys which is great ^_^

hmm come to think of it...
having the no camera key for the s8600 is kinda beneficial to the s8500 and s8530
because samsung included "touch focus" on the video recording capability of s8600 and so the s8500 and s8530 benefited from this by having the touch focus and a dedicated camera key!
HOHOHO
I dont know if its only traditional to include touch focus on handsets without camera keys
but it seems s8500 and s8530 willbe one of the first to have touch focus and a dedicated camera key HOHOHOHOHOHO

1 gripe about this beautiful s8600
is that it doesnt have a camera kay.....
why on earth does samsung seem to eliminate camera keys in their top end gadgets nowadays?
gone are the days of the legendary wave 1 and 2 which are packaged to kick arse hohohoho!

I hope this Wave 3 is better than the original Wave, and upseats it from the Gsmarena top rankings.
I owned the original Wave for 4 months before selling it and buying the Nokia N8. I'm interested in buying the Wave 3, but only if Bada 2.0 is worth it.

Very good phone at cheap price. Have Wave 1 and love it. But apps are crap. And now Android is far better with terrific games and apps. Will soon change my Wave 1 for Galaxy W, don't want Bada phone again. But Wave 3 still a good phone if you don't need apps.
