Samsung sort of confirms the Galaxy Z Flip FE

Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Z Flip7 will be joined this year by a cheaper option, which we're tentatively calling the Galaxy Z Flip FE. This has been rumored for quite a while now, and today Samsung has sort of confirmed its existence.

Spotted on Samsung servers that handle over-the-air updates is a software build for a device with the model number SM-F761. This is not yet official and there's currently no Samsung device out there with that model number. Furthermore, the "F" tells us it's a foldable, and "7" being the first number tells us it's part of the Flip line.

The Flip6 is SM-F741, the Flip5 was SM-F731, so you'd expect the Flip7 to be SM-F751. Which makes the SM-F761 even more intriguing. Sure, it could also be the Flip8, but Samsung wouldn't already be developing software builds for next year's model at this point in time. So we're left with the assumption that the SM-F761 is indeed the Flip FE.

This has previously been rumored to use the same screen as the Flip6, the Exynos 2400e SoC at the helm (whereas the Flip7 should go with the Exynos 2500), up to 12GB of RAM, and up to 256GB of storage. The Flip FE might launch alongside the Flip7 and Fold7 around July.

flip 7 se should've come with s25 edge thickness

The Flip is a novelty at this point. It was a neat and cool idea at first, but past its first impression, imo more and more people realized that it's quite pointless and impractical in today's smartphone use. Most women I saw with a Flip pr...
