I have just bought the U600 does anyone know if you can buy an optional longer life battery for this phone ?

@Koss.
There is only 2 differences form the Russian fimware compared to the others that i think i'm aware off.
- The russian firmware has the alarm ring function when the phone is in silent mode.
and
- It also has Google instead of Yahoo, I noticed in the main menu, it has the google sub menu instead of the Bluetooth menu, but fear not you can access blutooth in the applications sub menu instead.
I use English as my phones language, English is a standard language in all firmwares so it was no issue for me changing to the Russian firmware, but if you wan't romanian as your language your better of sticking with your current fimware.

for the guy that change firmware,
please tell me/us more about changing the firmware [i am fom romania, and my u600 alarm dose'nt ring in silent mode, too]
where can i change the firmware, and what can i do that, the new firmware has other's changes??? [why did you put russian one???]

Coopsie, I didn't know how to do this either when i got my phone, what i did do is read my instruction manual.....it's all in there!!
Don't normally need the manual but when you can't do something it helps!

hi dulcie,YES i have installed the samsung pc suite cd thing that came with it.we managed to move a few (3) tracks to the phone BUT could not send any directly to the memory card.surely there is a way to do this so i would be able to transfer music 1 album at a time.rather than one song at a time and then have to move them from my phone to memory card because that will do my head in.PLEASE HELP

1: to block unwanted sms message:
messages, settings, block messages then add the number you want to block
2: to block unwanted calls
call log,call manager, reject list

it's really nice phone thought, have had it for few months.. the only downside is, the message alert cant be set to vibration and ring.. only vibration, ring, vibe then ring, or ring then vibe. when u r in crowded situation, u cant hear the ring. when u r in quiet environment, u cant hear the vibration. so its kinda... annoying, i might say? but other than that.. it's a good phone. but not for me, really. cos im kinda heavy text messager. but that's only my preference. dun be let down by this. thanks.

Im having problem with predictive text on my u600!!!
With every single word I type the phone freezes for a while and then crashes.
Is anyone else having this problem or is it just mine? I rang the advice line and they advised me on how to do a system reset but that doesnt seem to have done anything at all...or least not with the method they told me,

can somebody PLEASE tell me how to transfer music from my pc to my phone/memory card via USB cable?.me and the missus have been trying for ages and just can't figure it out.step by step instructions would be such a help as i have loads of albums,a 2G memory card to put them on but just can't figure out how to do it.anybody's help would be very much appreciated.thanks

The only way to do it is by changing the firmware, Mine also didn't have alarm in silent mode, I now have the russian firmware in my phone and the alarm now rings in silent mode.

Hi, got this phone a few days ago and have found it generally good if a little sensitive. BUT, when i put my phone on silent at night, the alarm doesnt sound in the morning! Does anyone know how 2 or if it is possible at all 2 overcome this problem as I really need the alarm, but don't want my phone out of silent mode during the night!

i bought this phone 3wks back a fine masterpiece it has everything i was looking for only worry battery standby and usage life is unexpectedly short the slider has got some worryable amount of shake can anybody give me advice on this problem

I have tried to send the contacts from my previous phone to my U600 through bluetooth but it only ever sends (or displays) the first contact, even though it says 'phonebook received' --am I doing something wrong?
Also, is it possible to view photos in full screen mode? Thanks.

Battery is no problem its a perfect beauty i m fed up off nokia infact i rarely cell this one comes very near after a long time from samsung all i need is a tv cable for battery ppl need to understand different networks works differently eg sony ericsson battery last less than a full day in pakistan on all operators

hey all. jsut got the U600 today. love it pretty much. one q though. for soem reason the shutter sound on the camera doesnt seem to be working. the phone isnt in silent mode. any ideas?
