To Madonian:..
Yeah youre right actually, thanks! Didn't know that they made 1000Mah for X820..
One cound wonder why they don't send a 1000Mah-battery as standard for the u600?
Oh right.. is it Li-ion OR Li-ion Polymer?
(never understood the difference but...)

Lol no worries :D. Dunno about the speckled look. Show off your nice LCD and get some awsome wallpapers :P http://www.zedge.net/wallpapers/933/samsung-e900-wallpapers/
just reg and select ur phone. To check if you have a dead pixel, change the wallpaper to white, green. ull see then if u have a stuck pixel.

Thanks madonion! Can't believe something so simple was as easy as that. Nothing in the manual I'm sure...1st time samsung user. I also have a black background setting. Is it meant to have a slightly starry speckled look to it or is it just the odd broken pixel?

To get rid of the tone when sending a message all you do is go to keypad tones & set to off.

To Madonion:..
Actually i think thats a bit of a lie, because u wont find a X820-battery with the capacity of 1000Mah, due to its slimness!
Or would u disagree??

My girlfriend bought me a new u600 for my birthday! Boy first thing i noticed is the big beautifull screen! WOW!
The touch keys feels sooo freeking smooth on my fingers :D.
The u600 comes with a 690mah battery, i went and bought a X820 1000mah battery so thats adding almost double the battery life, going from 2-3 normal use to 4-6 :D.
i like that the camera is hidden behind the back and not open like all other phones!
Mp3 is nice and loud! it has changeable equalizers but no custom ones.
Good hints:
*To take operator logo off!* go to Text Display / Idle text display / Text position off.
*The camera function has two modes, when you click on (camera) you can change iso, white balance and when you click on (Scene) you can change it to auto, outdoor, beach/snow ect. cant do that in camera mode. Weird i know lol.
A few annoyance:
*if you save your pics to mem stick you cant edit them =/, you cant copy them to my photos to edit them. only save to phone to edit them.
*I coudnt find a way to copy videos directly onto the mem stick from computer, so that means i can only load a 50mb file onto the phones memory then copy it from there to the memory card. ANYONE KNOW HOW TO COPY A VIDEO DIRECTLY TO MEM CARD?

Well, I hear in many countries sapphire blue is the only color available. In other countries (like in mine), blue, red and gold (copper) are available. And I hear in some countries black is available although this seems to be quite rare. I haven't heard anything of the platinum and white versions.
IMO, platinum is the best looking colour with this mobile. Black is so old now with Samsung. Red and gold are more of a woman's choice. And the blue one (which most of U600's have)... well, I think it's a bit bleak-looking -- it doesn't excite that much.

Recieved my u600 other day and have to say its a pretty impressive phone, like some other people on here though mine does feel a bit wobbly when open but its not that bad.
Had mine about 2 days now and the battery already needs charging but as of yet i havn't done the 15 hour charge that they recomend you to do but i have bought the X820 battery for it ebay from seller 88trading for a fiver! Bargain!!
The touch sensitive buttons do take some getting used to i've never had a phone with these buttons before and when typing out a text if i move my finger a bit and brush the button slightly i find myself ringing them and as soon as it starts dialing it locks the keypad.
The camera is a very slow at taking pics compared to some phones i've had but the quality of the pic is very good.
People have been complaining about the alarm so i set my phone to silent and set the alarm then turned the phone off and mine worked! the firmware on my phone is U600ADGC2 if thats of any help?
Also people are saying about the sent tone when sending a text? mine has never done this so there must be somewhere it can be turned off?
hope this helps anyone =]

What about the SE W880?! With the "razorsharp" keys, isnt that a BIG downstep even for SE?
Or like the latest Nokias, big knobs for keys, ofcourse noone would like to press down the wrong key.. but i meen, come on..!
The nice features with u600 is probably that it isnt like most of the slide-LGs, when you allmost cant press the keys in the upper end of the keypad - due to LGs ergonomic problems with the design of the keypad!?
Dont know why some rack down on the ergonomics on u600, maybe some of us like the idea of a phone with normal-sized keys?
And what about this problems with the "touch-keys.." come on, use your learning-abilities!
Well.. well.. some will allways stuck on petty things like the lack of tactile feeling in the keys, how do u think they managed to do such a slim phone(!?)
