ive got the u600 for two weeks, works good except I have a problem with calling and receiving.. sometimes when i answer a call i dont hear anything, same thing happens when i call.. ppl at the other end of the line tell me they hear me but i dont hear them..

so i have press the silent mode button "#" twice: once to get in silent mode and a second time to get out of silent mode, only then i can hear again..

I wonder if this is normal and im doing something wrong or.. the phone came bad from the factory.. if anyone knows about this id appreciate your help.. cheers

Just got mine today and so far so good. Just wandering how to play it through different speakers or headphones as the ones that came with it don't fit in my ears!

      Also anyone dropped theirs yet?

the battery is shocking, yesterday after a full overnight charge I went out with the phone at about 11am, spent 10-15 mins playing games on the phone, heard 1 or 2 MP3 tunes, used WAP for about 10-15 mins, had the radio on for about 25 mins in the afternoon, and played with the camera for about 10mins. I made a couple of 10 min phone calls and sent 1 text.

By 9pm the battery was completely dead. I don't know if it's the large screen, but the power is sapped by using the features of this phone and so I am sending it back.

          To najks

If you manage to fine a place to get spare bat. Your best getting an X820 Bat it's the same size voltage and shape But lasts a lot longer because its a Li-ion Polymer type. Where as the U600 is only a Li-ion.

I've changed mine to an X820 Bat and now I get a t least 6 to 7 days usage out of it....

Anybody knows where to by accesories to this phone - like extra batteries?

            /najks

ps. samsung.uk.com isnt recomending that you try other samsung batterys to this phone, like some other guy who wrote that batterys for the X820 would also work on U600...

does any body know about the sensitivity of the touch sensors, have been told over and over that the e900 was really bad for this problem.

I've had this phone for a few weeks now, its excellent. I upgraded from a D600 & can say its definitely a step forward, lots of the things that annoyed me with the D600 have been ironed out.

The only thing is I can't work out a way to send files through bluetooth without having to enter a pin? even with secure mode turned off.

I never planned on making a comment on any phone, I just read the opinions, however I anxiously awaited this phone for I had to travel to to the far east and needed something I though was good and reliable.
This is the worst crap i ever bought, cannot hear properly with the volume maxed out, also try playing music u feel that the phone wants to fall apart. I ended up using a backup Nokia 3220.

                          @Maria

During a call in "normal mode" the phonebuttons are locked (thats so u wont accidently end a call by pressing it to hard against your face..)

To end a call - when in normal mode - you first have to "unlock" the phone.. then you can end the call using the "end call" button.
Unlocking the phone - by pressing "powerbutton.." (i think..)

Or else, much easier.. just slide the phone shut, that would end the call also!

                          ps.
Youre right about the button, its for "ending calls.." but it seems like they havent thought about it when developing..

I'm sorry what are you talking about (no end call button) have you read the manual???

go to page 9, where its showing you what the buttons do, 3rd button down in the list.

What's the first thing it says, END A CALL.

it does say further in the manual that (on page 16, no.3) to end a call......

                            3. To end the call, press [i] or
[power key ] to unlock the keypad
and press [end call button ].

people really need to read things first, sorry but you do!!!!!

                                Dear Najks,
Yes! you're quite right about the Bluetooth button. Silly me. But I have another query: Why does the 'end call' not work? During a call in normal mode (ie not in loud speaker or headpiece) shouldnt this work or do I have to slide down? Or is that not an end call button?

To the person who wanted to know about the D900 Screen cracking.

I've had 3 D900's to date and two of them have suffered from a Cracked screen

the Battery on the U600 is the exact same size shape and voltage as the X820,
But the X820 Bat is Li-ion Polymer where as the U600 Bat is only Li-ion,
I've have put the x820 bat in the U600 and now I get a Week usage out of it. Much better.

U said u used D900, I am just to buy D900 or U600. I like D900 more than this but one big disadvantage that i have heard about D900 is that its screen craks quickly, is it true. Please help me.....

Still no trace of this phone in Thailand. Maybe they have big stocks of D900 to get rid of before launching this one (and why did they make a D900i, i wonder).
