To The FatFella,
It seems that you have the U600, by reading your posts you have good knowledge of the phone. So, i was wondering if you could provide me with some information.
Question 1:
On Sony Ericsson mobile phones (k750i) you can listen to music and change the track using the up and down volume keys. Is this possible on the U600?
Question 2:
If you have used the Sony Ericsson music player on the k750i, how do you compare the sound quality using the default headphones/handsfree which are supplied with the phone?
Question 3:
As the U600 has an inbuilt music player, does your battery drain very quickly if you use the music function? If i used it for 2 hours a day, excluding making/receiving calls, do you think that the battery will be above lets say 50%?
Question 4:
In reality, how long does 'your' battery last? On the specifications/reviews i have been reading about the phone, many have said that talktime is around 3 hours. Is this a true reflection?
Hope you can help, thanks in advance.

Hello, I've the U600 and can't seem to actually use it. Basically it won't unlock. The way i try to unlock the phone is by pressing either volume button then pressing the on/off button on top of phone as instructed and then slide it open. However, whether I slide it or not, it simply won't let me use the sensor buttons and it's really annoying as I've messages I can't read. Could it be I've a faulty handset or am I not unlocking it right?

Hi Simon
You Asked
Q/
i own a SE phone and when i want to enter the phone book i just push down on my dpad and it brings the whole phone book list up and i just scroll to the name i want to dial instead of entering the name does the samsung u600 have this option to
A/
First
The right menu key goes direct to the phone book. Once there you can quick find by entering the first letter of the name you want.
Secondly
in idle mode if you enter the first numbers of the contact you want a box of search result pops up at the bottom of the screen with numbers that mach the numbers you entered.
I find this utility most usful

If your contract has already ended then you can get your PAC code straight away and use it the second you have it. Your contract will be cancelled the instant it transfers. If you dont use it, then you carry on as normal. This process is FREE and requires NO WARNING. However, if you are still in a contract, you may need to provide some warning and you will have to pay off the remaining amount on your contract, ie however many months left you have you pay off in full.
