Hi - just recd an e-mail from O2 who confirm the latest date for launch of this phone is 2nd April. I am due an upgrade and like you Terri I was going to go for the D900. Think I will wait for this one now. Bit worried about the touch sensitive keypad though!!!

Hello All,
I got the D900 phone last week and so far I am loving the phone. As I have upgraded I have a 14 day test period whereby if I decide I dont actually want the phone I can send it back and get another one and I am now tempted to send it back and wait for this model to come out.
I was initially going to wait for this phone from my upgrade but decided to get the D900 Chrome that O2 recently brought out but now after reading the reviews on this phone I am tempted to send mine back and get this one.
Can anybbody help me make my final decision on this phone.
Also does anybody know if this phone has the "Theme" Wallpaper and "Vivid" Messaging.

I just bought an e900, was going to wait for this phone but the estimated prices are too high, and if anything deserves patience it's the iPhone. The E900 has more builting memory and has that Chocolate-like interface on a better phone.

Unlike the D900, is it able to save photos & video directly to the MicroSD memory card?
Has the flash improved?

the u600 is being raved about at work I work for a mobile phone retailer....I have had the d900 for around 5 months and haven't really found a better handset or one i would prefer...

So this thing comes in sapphire blue, garnet red, platinum metal and copper gold... but which of these is the one on this picture? I'd say platinum metal, but I've seen other pictures in which this baby seems much darker... I suppose that'll be the platinum metal then, and this one is the sapphire blue one?
Doesn't really seem sapphire coloured to me though..

Gotta say I was gonna buy D900 too, but this sure looks like a sweet phone. I own a D600 right now and could not be happier, unless I had a D900 or U600. After hearing all these comments about the touch sensitive keys that's a big downfall. Don't the keys lock? By the way GSM phones in Canada suck, so glad I can get unlocked phones.

I am wondering the exact same thing.
I am thinking of waiting for the U600 but now I have since discovered the phone is touch sensitive and it has put me off. My cousin has the E900 and its such a pain to work. A friend of mine's sister has one and she calls people from her pocket all the time.
I am now thinking of getting the D900 as the specs on the two phones are not much different and O2 have brought out the D900 in a funky metallic silver colour.
Someone please help me decide as I can upgrade today and I am not sure what to do.

Anyone wondering about the releaase of this phone on o2 can visit the site. They now have it on there as a 'new release - April 2007'. It does have a flash and auto focus i am just hoping now the touch sensitivity is not too sensitive. Would any one recommend it over the D840 or D900?

Hi HSE,
I am currently waiting for this phone to be released on O2 (UK) and in my opinion I would wait. I like you was initially going to get the D900 but when I was told about this phone changed my mind. Its a much newer, sleeker phone. I know the features are not really all that different than the D900 but it looks better and at least you will be up to date with the newest model on the market.

does anyone know what phone carrier the U600 will come out for? and does anyone know if this phone has a flash? cuz in sum pics i see it wit a flash and others without.

Hello Mugs1,
I telephoned o2 about a week ago and was told by the customer service man in ugrades that this was due to be released by o2 on 9 April 2007. This is obviously dependant upon whether Samsung are happy with all their software tests etc.
I will be checking regularly with O2 over the next 6 weeks as to the release of this phone and I will keep you posted if there are any changes.

Besides the design cosmetic, i see no dif this cell with D900. Well... I better stick with my just-bought D900 a little longer.

I am also due to up-grade soon, & am with O2, but can't find that info anywhere?
